Amazon.com cell phones

Have any of you ever bought a plan and cell phone from Amazon.com? We want to stay with Cingular and our contract is up in about 2 weeks.

Through Amazon.com we can get the phones that we want and were going to have to pay a couple hundred each for for FREE on Amazon.com with Cingular plans. And the plan we have is the same cost through Amazon. However, currently we get a discount on our plan through Cingular through DH's work so hopefully that would stay the same. And hopefully we could keep our same phone numbers.

Anyway, just curious if any of you had purchased plans and phones through Amazon.com and what your experience was.

We purchased Blackberries from Amazon and switched our service to T-mobile through them. A few hickups, but we saved A LOT of $$ and it's worked out fine.

What made you change your service? Better deal with T-Mobile? How do you like your Blackberry? We are considering the Blackberry Pearl, Samsung Blackjack, and Palm Tree 650 or 680. We just can't decide.
