Amazing! We had a code!

I'd been seeing the 28% discount link and was pricing out a possible vacation for December, but the December dates for deluxes is very limited (13-17, iirc). So I finally called DRC and asked if there was possibly a code attached to our names. There was!

The code (in DH's name, btw) was far better than the 28% discount and I was able to book Dec 9-18 for a split stay GF/AKL.

I have zero idea why/how we had this code. DH never got an email or postcard or anything. But when the Disney gods send a discount my way, I'm happy to get it.

The moral of this story is: call and ask. You might have a code, too!

AKL (savanna view) $204/night ($229.50 after taxes)

We added on a night at the beginning, since we're going to arrive late.

CBR (pirate room) $128.25/night (that's the after-taxes price--they never told me the before-taxes price!)

I love getting a good deal!

Best of luck! Make sure to have them check under all the names in your party, since my code was under DH's name.

BTW, when I called back to make the 1st night ressie at CBR, the CM I got was clueless about the code and had to pull up the GF ressie in order to find out what code to apply. So if you get a semi-clueless CM and they can't find a code, call back again. If I'd gotten this guy (he was very nice, btw, just obviously not that experienced) initially, I might never have found out about it.

We're staying at CBR the first night because we're getting in so late that it doesn't matter where we stay and when I saw that a pirate room was available, I thought it'd be so cute to stay there!
