After we finished watched the last episode of AR, we looked around for something else to watch, but nothing caught our eye. So we checked to see if TiVo had recorded anything. And it turns out that it had recorded an old episode of AR from GSN. So we started it up.

It turned out to be one of the all-time best episodes IMO. It was from the 4th season, the one won by Chip and Reichen. It was set in Borneo, and it was the episode where Millie and Chuck (the virgins) lost a sprint to the mat against Kelly and Jon.

This episode had eveything. It was in an exotic location, it was competitive and intense, the challenges were well planned out, and it had a big finish between two teams that were mortal enemies. It was great!

Compare that to this season, where the teams have to get their picture taken, find a gas station, watch Old Fiathful erupt, etc. The brains behind AR should go back and watch these old episodes to see what made the show great. It won't be winning an Emmy this year.

Are you guys big travelers in the U.S. Maybe you are just people that have been there done that, boring move on. I drive through a marsh that is considered the largest in the world. Yesterday me and my dd saw a ton of birds migrating yet, swans, geese, ducks, did we stop, no we just kept driving through, because we see it all the time. We did laugh at the new sign the DNR put up that asked you to slow down and try not to hit wild life. It has a counting board that says 375 road kills so far in 2005.

I just trying to tell you that I love watching the race. I've been to a few of the places they have been, and look forward going to see "Ole Faithful one day too.

No one is forcing you to watch the show, watch the reruns on the GMC, it is on everynite at 8:00 p.m.CST.

I can definately see what you are saying about having older brothers. She just never seems interested in trying anything new or even offering to try a task :confused3 she very much seems like she is just along for the ride and the money and not really interested in the "participation" part of the race. Maybe that is how she was invited to participate - the brothers basically said come along as the 4th person and we will do all the work :goodvibes In which case I guess I cannot fault her ;)
I disagree.
I've seen her offer to help on several occasions and the brothers said, no, we can do it.

I haven't read all of this thread but I know the dislike of the Weavers has been discussed a lot. I started off really wanting to like the Weavers. But I really despise them now. It's not just that they are rude, nasty, mean-spirited and condescending to everyone else. It's the fact that they are so self-righteous about it and are playing such a victim role. They actually said the reason they are so disliked is that they are the only nice Christian family.

Hello!!!! If EVERYONE else dislikes you, it might be your problem, not theirs.

I LOVED the Gaghan family and I was really disappointed when they were eliminated. I like the Linz's because they are one of the few families that seem to be close and rarely criticize each other.

I wasn't too sad to see the Godlewski's eliminated because they were becoming more and more irritating.

As long as the Weaver's don't win, I'll be happy.

I saw the pants and my subconscious logged it. With the photographic evidence, we now know which way Phil "dresses".

Oh boy did I notice the pants...from the very beginning and then each time they showed him thats where my eyes strayed. I'm a sick puppy arent I. couldnt help it though....

Glad to see I'm not the only one who noticed...

That's kind of harsh, even rude, isn't it? I could just as easily say that if you don't want to hear anything negative about AR, well, no one's forcing you to read this thread.

I'm the biggest AR fan there is. I've seen every episode, own season 1 on DVD, and now that it's on GSN (not GMC, whatever that is) I've seen most of the eipsodes more than once. So I think I've got a right to express my opinion.
