I am in denial about needing reading glasses at my age-just something that hits early with being nearsighted. I have caught so many typo's lately, must miss a lot too! Forgive me! I even went to the eye dr. to have my contacts read yesterday and they were in the wrong eyes. Still having troubles...obviously!

Anyway, I agree that Charla was yelling last night. I wonder if others did too and they edit that out!

Thank gooness for COlin an Christie. They saved me being shut out this week.

I disagreed with this question:

When will at least one other team catch up to Colin and Christie? (Weight: 50)
gometros's answer: Early the first morning during a bunching--or earlier
Correct answer: Later that day but before nightfall

Wouldn't you call before 11:00am early in the morning? They al caught up at the airport.

I was wondering the same about Editing, they are making Charla and Mirna a team you either love or love to hate!
I really don't dislike any team, they all crack me up...

Im starting to feel dislike toward Colin though....he really seems mean....but again, editing...they may never show when he is nice...LOL

I got this one right & I was afraid they would count it wrong, I think if they had all caught up at the entrance to the Great Pyramid, then you would have been right. But since they completed a task, then moved on before bunching up the "Later that day" answer was right. I dunno.

Well, I still can't stand Mirna/Charla. Although I did laugh out loud when Charla was standing outside the boat & pointed to the one goat & said "That's the bad one", then they showed him pop his head up & look around like "Who, me?" Nice piece of editing.

My two favorite teams are Colin/Christie (yes, I know I am way in the minority on this one) & Chip/Kim.

Did you guys see Mirna's make-up when she showed up at the pit stop Good Lord, she was ready for a night on the town.

Oh, and I am glad the twins are still around. They are so incredibly clueless (and they admit it!) that it just cracks me up that they continue to do avoid coming in last. They are a hoot.

Just saw the pizza boys on the Morning Show. They said Mirna and Charla are being accurately portrayed...arrogant and rude. Said they had a problem with the *I can do anything anyone of normal size can do* from Charla and then she plays the pity card every chance she gets. They also said, Charla and Mirna are not dumb. He said he knees are fine now, never had a problem before or after the show.

I was surprised no one knew what a scarab was especially little miss smarty pants...don't think I have name names.

My favorite part of the show is when Brandon is on the donkey bouncing along the trail and he says...I want to have kids! They Egyptian guy for the water task...he was really into it, cheering them on Bravo, Bravo!

Why didn't the bowling moms complete the task BEFORE they starting begging for money...did they need admission to get into the Great Pyramid?

Next week looks good...the feud continues with Colin and Mirna. Chips says everyone looks like me, I feel comfortable here and Nicole accuses one of the locals of hitting her... WHOA

At least she didn't give Phil a hug this time! I think this is the first pit stop that she didn't.

Thank goodness for the question about whether or not the bowling moms would be eliminated. I only got 3 questions right, but that one was worth 110 points!

These teams are rather clueless about a lot of things. Last week Colin thought the Prodigal Son was Jesus, and these week he thought a scarab was a sword. And shall I just say that the twins are giving blondes a bad name....

Can't wait until next week!

Colin did gain a couple of points with me last night when he showed the other teams what the scarab looked like. Maybe he only did it because he knew they were in first place.

I always thought the Brothers were rude. I am not sorry to see them go.

They've been repeating it on Saturday nights.

Hey, I didn't know who the Prodigal son is either. If it makes me clueless, so be it.

I think a lot of people are confusing Colin's arrogance with confidence. They are have made the right choices and are in good enough shapa to win this thing. I don't see anyone beating them.

Glad to hear the brothers comment about Mirna and Charla. Sorry, but after last night's episode and the previews from next week, I'm set in the fact that I do not want them to win. That whining is going to drive me nuts! But it's not only that, they seem to be in the middle of almost every controversy.

If it was just editing that was making M&C look bad then you wouldn't have scenes of every other team griping about them. Since you do, I'm pretty sure we are just seeing them as they are. Of course, since this race has always ended in a foot race I don't hold their chances of winning very high.

I sat there in disbelief that NOBODY knew what a scarab was. Sheesh, doesn't anybody watch the Mummy movies??

I disagree with the catching up later in the day. The second team left at 6:40 a.m. - they should have been at the airport no later than 9 a.m. - how is that not in the morning? *sigh*

I wondered about this as well! Does anybody know? It worked out OK for them though.

Did you notice it was the 2nd time they got taken to the wrong airport? Thank goodness the flight was delayed!

I haven't noticed scenes where everyother team has a problem with C/M, just Colin/Christie and the brothers(maybe I missed it).

I must admit I'm happy to have the twins around. I can't believe how clueless they are. Did you see last night after the read the clue and went to the tunnel into the pyramid? They couldn't figure out what to do! I was laughing.....

They can't last long if they truly can't figure things out.

Colin is mean. I don't like him. He did shove Mirna Schmirna. He needs to get over it. M/C were wrong about the taxi, but get over it. I won't be happy if either of these teams win. Go Chip/Kim, go Bowling Moms and go Brandon/Nicole!

Okay, here are some random thoughts about last night's episode.

The whole group - DS (11) and DD (8) are in shock that nobody knows what a scarab is. I guess they don't have any intellectual challenges on AR in case all the teams are eliminated simultaneously.

Colin & Christie - Colin seems arrogant, but I can't really argue with their results.

Chip & Kim - I really like this team and I'm glad Kim feels better about completing one of the challenges. They seem to really make an effort to be polite to all of the people they encounter and enjoy the opportunity to travel. Go guys go!

The Twins - Too bad they have to share a single brain.

Brandon & Nicole - I can't say what I really think in case someone might be offended, but their brand of religion seems just a little too self-serving for my taste.

Charla & Mirna - I realize that most English-speaking people believe that if you speak LOUDLY and slooooooowly all those people who pretend not to understand English will admit that they really do after all, but the bizarre intonation is just killing me. The tem-PLE? So people understand broken and oddly accented English? They did this in South America and Russia, too. (okay, maybe tem-PLE is Arabic for temple, but based on the rest of their communication, I'm dubious) Mir-NA you're kil-LING us. Please DE-sist. Poor Charla - you can't choose your relatives, can you?

The Bowling Moms - Go Moms go! I'm really glad they were able to overcome all obstacles and still be in the running.

The Pizza Brothers - The xenophobic boys bit the dust, but they gave it a pretty good try. Did anybody mention to them that they'd be mixing with people from other cultures? It seemed clear that poor Lance was in a lot of pain, so they're probably the logical team to go in any case.

Of couse, if DH and I were competing in AR5, we'd have axe-murdered each other somewhere between the pier and the airport in LA, so we'd have been removed from the race long ago. It's a lot easier to criticize than to do it!

In that scene they showed Christie blocking the door to an airport (or some ticket counter) from C/M. Charla walks right under her arms and then the other 3 (Colin, Christie and Myrna) all start running in. Then they show them running up to the ticket counter and Colin hurdles over a couple of ropes to get in line first.

I am sick of Myrna's whining and constant accusations. She's like a 5 year old with all the name-calling she does.

This has been driving me nuts too. I notice Myrna saying a lot of things in English, but with a fake foreign accent. What's up with that? And my favorite was somewhere in S. America when Myrna was actually speaking Spanish and the guy still didn't understand her. Charla interupted her and started speaking in "Spanglish" loudly and slowly.
