Amazing Guest Relations: Yay Maria!!!! INSIDERTOUR INFO

Well, as some of you know, I missed the vmk tour on my 11/9 trip to the MK at WDW b/c of a delayed monorail, and we are not sure we can afford tickets before the tour ends (which is 12/23/05 by the way, not 12/31 b/c of Christmas busy time!!!! Also the tours are only held on Fri, Sat, and Sun from now on)

I had sent them an email explaining what happened, and I just now received a call from Maria at Guest Relations. Not only is she sending me 2 free tickets, but she said to call her when we plan on coming and she will make sure there will be a tour that day, and try to get us 2 spots reserved if so (note: they usually do not do this, it was a special favor since we missed the tour due to monorail breakdown making us late). Isn't that awesome! I was afraid I would not get an email back, but she called today and was so wonderful to me This makes my day!

I will let you all know when I plan to go!

We *finally* went on the tour yesterday at DLR and were told that they had stopped doing tours at all at WDW. Our guide also told us that they were going to stop doing tours at DLR on 12/23.

We will be at WDW in a couple of weeks. I see here where they are no longer offering the tour, but will we be able to get all the prizes from turning in the quests? What about the prizes we won on the game - like the wristbands, Nautilus chairs, etc... - will we still be able to get the prizes for these? If any one knows, please post - my DS8 has been looking forward to this forever. He's going to be disappointed that the tour is no longer offered, but will totally be sad if he can't get any of the cards

Hi Cami,
Yes you should be able to get all the prizes from doing the quests (remember to print the Tomorrowland quest at home and bring it with you), as well as all the prizes from your pdfs. I think they are offering a 'prize pack' of the pirate tour cards for turning in the Hidden Mickey pdf for the 'tour card'. In fact they might, but I'm not sure, be offering that prize pack and the 'tour card' for those who do all 4 quests in lieu of the tour.

Well, Maria was from WDW guest relations (her number is 407 area code so I know she was talking about WDW not DL) and said the tour is on until 12/13, but only Fri, Sat, and Sun. Also that Saturday tours are 12:30 and 4:30. She still has not called me back a second time to confirm, she asked which time we preferred and said she would get back to me. This was a couple days ago, I'll call her Monday.

About the monorail...don't really know what happened, just that the one in front of ours stopped right before going into the Contemporary Resort and stayed there for about 20 or 30 mins. Our driver said there will be a "delay". Eventually, the other monorail started moving and we went through. That's all I know about that!

Maybe the computer shut sown. Then they tried to repair the computer for about 20-30 minutes(or maybe it was a weel or the engine) then they dropped off everybody at the next startiun and took it back to the yard(yes they have a yard)
