We are DVC owners but cannot use our points due to the 50% borrow restriction. I have been looking for someplace to stay near Disney that offered a good selection of extras, without paying the Disney Hotel cost.

I booked a rate through a travel site, sponsored through my employer, then I saw the $42 daily resort fee and $25 daily parking fee add-ons, they killed the good rate.

This morning I was looking at their website and found the Work from Hyatt rate. It waives the resort fee and the self parking fee, it also includes breakfast for 2 daily. Pool floats, spa discounts, and high speed Wi-Fi. They even give you access to a quiet conference room to work, if needed. Since my college student and his gf have remote classes, that may be used. The rate was better than my old rate, due to the free breakfast and free parking, two king rooms for 7 days $2,500 total.

Glad you found a deal that works well for you. :goodvibes

In case anyone has not stayed here before, just in case this matters to you -- the parking lot is about a ten-minute walk from the rooms.

At first i missed the TWO rooms for that price..but $2.5k for two rooms + breakfast is really awesome.

Does anyone know how long the walk to Disney Springs is..if walking is even possible? We walk on the fast side.

If there is a cut across to the Double Tree then it would be about 15-20 minutes (but I'm not sure there is)

If not you would have to make your way to the entrance near Miller's Ale House and then walk to the Delta Hotel. Then either take the LYNX Bus 50 or keep walking down to hotel plaza boulevard. Probably looking at around 40 minutes without LYNX.

You can walk from here straight to Saratoga on a sidewalk towards the back. They have a shuttle to Disney Springs

I've stayed at the Hyatt and it is very nice. For quite a while it was the nicest off Disney resort with a great pool and a pitch and putt. If you want to try something else you may want to try the Wyndham Bonnet Creek. I haven't been but the reviews are good and the prices for rentals from owners are incredibly cheap. Don't know when you are going but there are currenlty 2 bedroom units going for as low as $755 a week with no resort fees.
