Amazing Adventures of the 2013 Disney Moms Panel Search

Hey Sarah,

It is such a fun process. I have looked forward to it each year. We're in the queue now, just waiting for the ride to begin in September! Luckily, I will still be on a high from my DCL vacation. Hope to have some extra pixie dust for my application. :wizard:

Mel I'll try to pop over here now and then to say hi! I'm active in another forum and I'm hoping the Disney Parks InsidEARS website will take off too! It is so wonderful there are so many places for Guests to get help with their planning - and for Disney addicts like us to share our knowledge

The Walt Disney World Moms Panel and Disney Parks InsidEARS are AMAZINGLY helpful and informative!

Best wishes to everybody for a fun application process!

Talk to you soon!

- Sarah

Should we all get to know each other better? The best part of the process last year was our magical waiting room!

This will be my second year applying. My last trip was in November, I love November because the weather is great, the crowds are low and MVMCP! I am a SAHM to a 3 year old, who has food allergies.

Who's next?

I'll play! This will be my third time applying. My last trip was January and I'm already planning out fake ADR's!!! LOL!!! I am a Real Estate agent with 3 kids and a hubby in marketing and video production.

Who's next?

Hi @SgtMickey... The Disney World Moms Panel is a group of moms (and a few dads and even an aunt) who help answer questions for families planning all types of Disney vacations. The panel has moms who specialize in areas like DCL, RunDisney, Disneyland Resort, WDW and more.

You can find the moms and more info over on their official site. http://disneyworldforum.disney.go.com/ I have asked questions before, and let me tell you, these moms are amazing.

Pixie dust to all who are applying this year.:wizard:

Thanks for the info.:)

Just stopping by to sprinkle a little pixiedust: Pixie Dust and wish all of you the best of luck in this years Moms Panel selection process :)

Looking forward to meeting the newest Members of our family this December :grouphug:

I'll go!

I'm a mother of a toddler and a tween, work as the third generation in my family's business, judge's wife, and community volunteer and fundraiser. I've been vacationing in WDW since I was three years old in 1972! I blog for three Disney fan websites and am an active participant (spending hours online) on an unofficial WDW chat forum and Facebook group and the Disney Parks InsidEARS website! What fun to go through this process with you all!

Thanks Amanda and Kaylene for your words of encouragement and sprinkling of pixie dust! The process can be hard but knowing that those of you who have made it through are cheering us all on helps a great deal!

As for an intro for me - I'm Holly, mom of a 9-year-old son and a 3-year-old princess. My husband has supported my Disney craziness for 14 years, starting with our honeymoon trip to WDW in 1998. When I'm not busy with my day job as a marketing manager for a software company, I'm busy dreaming and planning for our next Disney trip. We just got back from our Disney Wonder Alaskan cruise and will be heading to Disneyland for D23's Destination D in less than a month! :cool1:

This is my 5th time applying and I must say that while it's always disappointing not being picked, it really is a great experience because I've connected with so many other wonderful Disney fans through the years!

I guess I'll play too.

My name is Ana, been married for 6 years and I have a soon-to-be 3 year old boy, named "JJ". I was born in Costa Rica but have lived in Texas for the past 19 years. I work in HR but my true passion is Disney. I love planning Disney trips either for myself or for others. I've been to Disney World about 20 times, Disneyland Paris once and recently went on my first Disney Cruise (can't wait to go back!). I usually try to visit DW at least twice a year now (once with my son and once with my BFF for our yearly girls-only trip :) ). My next trip is in September with BFF and then in November with my DS (husband won't be joining us this time).

Looking forward to another round of this. I never make it past Round 1 and yes, it really upsets me every year, but it is what it is.

Good luck to everyone! :wizard:

Hey! I’m Lisa a/k/a Mickeystoontown. :wave2: I’m a 46 year young mother to two amazing children (Lacey and Hunter), a Mama Lisa to a wonderful son-in-law (Jesse) and a wife to my loving husband (John).

I’m a paralegal by day and a trip planner by day AND night. Heck, I plan Disney trips in my dreams which is probably why I always wake up feeling like I could sleep another two or three hours. My hobbies, other than planning Disney trips, are baking, camping, working in the garden and hosting get-togethers so we can spend time with friends and family. I also sew backsacks and little girls’ dresses to help fund our Disney obsession.

We've been to Walt Disney World 17 times in the past 15 years and went on a Disney Cruise in May, 2012. Our kids have, literally, grown up going to Disney. I can still remember Hunter toddling down Main Street and Lacey racing along to keep up with him. John and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there and my 78 year old mother has taken trips with us as well so we've made tons of memories at Walt Disney World. I can't think of a better vacation destination than Disney. :cloud9:

This will be my fourth time to apply for a spot on the Disney Mom's Panel. Since we've traveled to Disney at various times of the year with a one year old, a toddler, a pre-teen, teenagers, newlyweds and a senior, I think that I'd have a good bit to offer to the Panel. (Did that sound convincing 'cause I may use it when filling in my application. :rotfl:)

Best of luck to you all!! :wizard::wizard:

Faith, trust, and pixie dust!

I wonder if being a Disney specialized Travel Agent will help me or hurt me this year...hmmm.

Anyway, joining the fun! I'm Sarah mom to an almost 3 year old DD (Ana, maybe we can have a virtual play date? ;)). My August trip to WDW will be my 10th since 2003 when I discovered the magic on my pre-honeymoon(long story). I am a full time children's librarian in a public library(best job ever!) and this spring I became a Travel Agent specializing in Disney travel (second best job ever!) with a bunch of other mom friends I met on the Dis when I was pregnant. :teeth:

I've applied to be on the panel 3 times.

It's wonderful to meet all of you awesome folks!

Count me in on the waiting. I know the odds of making the panel are astronomical, but the fun of trying is worth it. :rolleyes1

I am a SAHM to three wonderful teenagers. My kids have no idea how lucky they are to have been to Disney World dozens of times. (I think they have spent almost year of their lives there.)

We love our Disney timeshare and are leaving in two days to try out Aulani. I am so excited to stay there. I wish I could taken my kids when they were younger. They adored Hank's at OKW and Aunty's sounds like paradise for preteens. I know they will be checking out the teen spa.

Good luck to all. You are what make it so hard to get on the panel. Everyone is so wonderful!

Hi Sarah, both your jobs sound amazing. In my next life, I want to be a librarian, or maybe later on in this one. As for your "second job"... in years past, travel agents have been specifically prohibited from applying to join the panel. Keep an eye out for the official application anyway, you never know what is in store from year to year! :wizard:

Since we're doing introductions...

I'm a tennis professional and Dad to three kids currently living in Romania. My wife is in the foreign service and we are just finishing up our first assignment overseas (next stop USA for home leave and training before we head to Jerusalem late next year). Last year was my first year applying, and I made it to round 2 as a DCL specialist. We have sailed with DCL 7 times, been to WDW more times than I can remember, and are current annual passport holders at Disneyland Paris! In addition to hitting fuzzy balls and watching the kids, I also write on my Disney Blog, 3DisKids (link in sig), when I get a free moment. Which hasn't happened in about a month!

Good luck everyone!
