hi all:wave:

I've been looking at the menus for Ama Ama, and aside from a couple of starters, the only main meal that appeals to both DH and I is the chateaubriand.

I see that it comes with a starter, which is the Chef's choice. Does anyone know whether we could opt for the maui soup or the lobster macaroni instead? Even if it means paying an additional charge, we'd prefer to do that than end up with something we don't like:goodvibes

Several of my group did this last summer. The starter ended up being 4 small portions of some of their pupus. It included the poke and the lobster mac and cheese...I forget what else. Not sure if they will let you substitute, but I am sure you can tell the CM your preferences and they will pass it on to the chef. It was a fabulous meal.

Thank you :thumbsup2:wave:

That sounds perfect then ::yes::. We weren't going to book Ama Ama, but as there is a good chance that this might be our one and only visit to Aulani, I really wanted to experience as much as possible.

I managed to snag a sunset reservation last night (the only night available for our 8 night August trip at the right time for sunset), so hopefully it will be a lovely night to remember! :thumbsup2

I think you have the right idea booking it in order to experience it.
