I tried to sleep also, but I am still awake. My DD tonight asked me if the Tooth Fairy is real or not? I changed the subject, because I know the next question will be about Santa. So now I am trying to come up with a way to let her know the truth gently.

that is a tough one!!! I'm not sure what I would say..I don't have kids yet.

Well it's midnight, HST aka Hawaii Standard Time and I am definitely awake, which sucks because I do need to be up in 5 hours for work

ds came home from school the other day, got off the bus handed me a molar he had lost at school and said "Here, I lost this today eating ice cream, Oh and Mama, I don't believe in the tooth fairy, or the easter bunny anymore and I am still working on the whole santa thing, cause I can't figure out why you would fill your own stocking too." He then walked off to get a snack, leaving me sitting in a state of mourning on my baby growing up.
The next morning at breakfast he looks over and says "shoot, I should have waited until today to tell you I didn't believe, so I could have got the money first."
I know that by christmas he will have given up on the whole santa thing, and if he hasn't I am blowing it out of the water cause he said yesterday that the only thing he is asking for is money from everyone, and I have a feeling he thinks his stocking (very large mind you) should be filled with it too.
