Popped over to Just Candles yesterday afternoon to get 2 Christmas Yankees and 2 others for the childrens' teachers Christmas presents. I loved Jack Frost immediately so decided to get that one then couldn't choose between Christmas Eve, Mulled Wine and Balsam and Cedar. DH meanwhile had been sniffing non Christmas ones and said he really liked Cider Donut. I really like it too but, it's not a Christmas one is it? He says if you like a candle does it really matter when you burn it? I say YES it does! Certain candles are for certain times of the year. Anyway I was outvoted 3 to 1 as the children liked Cider Donut too so that's the one we got.

Then I looked for some small candles for the bathroom. I settled on Lemon Zest, Willow Breeze and Granny Smith which I consider to be bathroomy smells. He chose Indonesian Ginger. Again, this is a scent I like but it's not for the bathroom is it? He says, if you like a smell it doesn't matter which room you burn it in. I say YES it does! Certain candles are for certain rooms arent they?

I know alot of you are fellow Yankee lovers so are you with me on this or am I just being too anal!

I do understand where you are coming from allthough with me certain candles are for certain moods as opposed to rooms ;)

either way I adore yankee candles :thumbsup2

Mmmm, I understand what you mean, but agree more with your DH. Sorry! :flower3:

I love the stronger autumnal/Christmassy ones so just burn 'em all year round. In the summer I mix it up with some fruity flavours... :goodvibes

We bought Balsam & Cedar, Red Apple Wreath and Pomegranate cider when we were in the Florida Mall. I also got Lemon Lavender, Sparkling Cinnamon, Spiced Pumpkin and Cranberry Chutney in the oils.

I love them all and would burn any candle in any room really, but I do understand where you are coming from.

I only tend to use candles at Christmas and I love the Christmas Eve scent - I too would use any candle in any room (if I could be bothered) :)

Last year we had the yankee candle cookie dough one in the kitchen and a red one (don't know whats its yankee candle name is) in the lounge as it felt a much warmer one, so i understand what ur saying.

hi
i love the glade mulled wine ones, so we bought a yankee mulled wine one, thinking it would be similar, but its not the same, not as strong or nice smelling.

You should have my DH. He is like that with Yankee candles. Must have christmas smells only at christmas and not other times of the year. I'm only allowed to buy seasonally! :rotfl2:

Must say that I don't mind burning "out of season" I like Happy Christmas and it reminds me of good times so I tend to have one of those on the go all year round! This year I like the Mistletoe and Siberian Silver Fir too.

well I am lol

I have them for different room and I am currently burning

christmas eve in the living room

candy corn swirl in the kitchen and

hollyberry on the landing

cant wait to go get some more!
