While there have been other character threads made in the past. I wanted to make a new thread which is interesting for some Disney fans. But am I the only person who has an emotional/personal connection with the characters at WDW and Disneyland. There's seriously something about them and some of the experiences you have when meeting them (Especially if it's you're favorite) that you don't get from any other Theme Parks across the globe. For example my all time favorite character is Marie from The Aristocats. She's been my favorite Disney character since I was little and was the very first Disney character I ever seen.
This story might have been heard a few times in the forum, but I wanted to share this since it's relevant to the topic.

During my Senior Trip to Walt Disney World, the entire time I been thinking of plans of meeting Marie at the Magic Kingdom since I heard she started becoming meetable at WDW since 2009. When I was young, Marie wasn't meetable and was only seen in merchandise until she become a meetable character at Tokyo Disney Resort starting in 2007 or 2008. Anyway, when I arrived at the Magic Kingdom on the first day I was sad knowing Marie wasn't out due to the rain which is why I hoped it wouldn't rain for the first day. I decided to buy an autograph book and decided to meet Mickey that day and asked him if he's seen Marie. He said that he hadn't seen her with a female CM telling me she was going to come out that day but since it was raining she didn't want to come out that day. I remember sitting at the France Pavilion and feeling sad remembering that Marie used to meet at that Pavilion. She did do meet and greets again early this year sometime in January 2015. On my last two days of my trip, I decided to return to the Magic Kingdom around 9:50am to see if she was there. I then asked a female CM who was possibly Spanish that she will arrive in around 10:30am. To kill time I rode on The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain. When I arrived back, the same CM made me first in line knowing I really loved her. As I got closer after Minnie finished meeting and got ready for Dream Along With Mickey. I seen Marie heading to her meet and greet spot near the Flag Pole next to Pluto. She was prancing which resembled bouncing then got excited when I seen her. I then handed her my autograph book and as she was signing it, I told her that I was looking everywhere for her and telling her "You have no idea how much I was searching for you." she responded by looking at me in the middle of her signing it. She then kissed my autograph book and handed it back to me. She then started backing away from me in a shy and bashful judging by her body gesture. She then gave me another big hug and we posed for two photos. When I hugged her for the last time that day, I heard her say "Aww" to me as I hugged her and started patting me on the back. When I returned to the All Star Sports Resort, I cried myself to sleep in happiness knowing how she loved me.

On my final day at the Magic Kingdom, I encountered Marie for the final time and told her this is my last day. She responded by making tears rolling down her eyes gesture as she signed two pages of my autograph book which I written touching messages to her. When she hugged me one last told I whispered to her "I love You" and as I walked away she blew three kisses back at me. When I saw Mickey for the last time, I told him I finally meet Marie. Mickey remembered my question and gave me two thumbs up which made me proud. This experience motivated me into becoming a future Cast Member at Walt Disney World and I'm currently thinking of doing the Disney College Program.
Who else had a touching or emotional experience with the character at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or any Disney Park. I would love to hear your stories about the characters that you meet and how much I touched you or your family member.
