I've really been thinking of this today. It seems that since I passed 30 years old a while back, gold jewelry turns me black. Any kind of gold does it, even white gold. Sterling Silver is about the only jewerly that I can wear anymore. It is just me? I am currently on the look out for a silver wedding band that I will like. LOL, I guess I can look at it as I am cheap bride LOL:rotfl:

Have you tried platinum rings? I think people with metal allergies do not react to platinum...plus I think platinum is stronger than gold or silver.

I'm allergic to jewelry too! I could never wear sterling silver and a few years ago I started breaking out from yellow gold. I only wear white gold. I have never tried platinum, but like Moonpie, have heard it's good for people with allergies. Good luck :)

Moonpie is right! Plat is the alternative metal for people that are allergic. Plat is a pure metal and therefore is less likely to have any reactions. It's a white metal and is a LOT more durable than silver, and will last longer as a wedding band. It doesn't turn colors either and only needs to be polished in order to return to shiny finish! Hope all this helps! (just in case you didn't know, I'm jeweler ;) ) Good luck!:thumbsup2
