Am I the only person going in Sept. and hasn't bought airfare yet? I am waiting on Southwest to lower their fare.

You might be. I got mine last month to Orlando on a Ding for $39.00!!!

You really aren't the only one. We decided at the last minute to add our trip (free dining pkg) and aren't really sure if we'll be flying from DC or St. Louis, as my DH just got a new job, but we aren't sure yet when he'll be starting!! :confused3

Also, my parents just decided to come along, and we have yet to book their flights from PIT...but will most likely do that this week...

of course...if a ding comes along from BWI we'll book right away and hope that we don't move until after our trip!!

We have our return flight, but not our flight there. I am hoping for a ding, but it is a Saturday, so I am not holding my breath. I will give it another week and if no DING, I will book it as is. :teeth:

thats what we paid last sept but i dont remember what month it was when i bought my tickets. i am hoping soon. i am flying out of jackson, ms.

I just booked the other day for my August trip. Coming back, no Ding but it's a sunday so I'm not holding my breath. I'll probalby just book the 99 dollar fare.

GOOD LUCK!

I just bought mine from Nashville to Tampa last week on a $39 ding for a Sept. trip.

I'm still holding out for a Ding straight into Orlando, though. They had a $59 ding last week, but my return date wasn't available. I made the mistake of booking roundtrip instead of two one-ways...

No, I just bought my tickets today, but we don't have Southwest, so I was waiting for a decent fare. I gave up today and bought for $217 r/t from Newark-Orlando. That's a decent enough price for me to be happy with.

You're not the only one! We're going Sep 30 and haven't even looked at airfares yet. After our experience running for Delta flights last time, this trip I'm willing to pay extra for nonstop flights, and I really want to use an airline that has resort check in - so I'll probably end up paying a premium to get what I want. So, I haven't been in any real hurry to book flights!

I'd book and hope for a credit. If you can't get a good airfare what will you do? Drive? Cancel your trip? Pay more for airfare?

If flying is your only option I'd book as soon as I found reasonable airfare ($200 from NY) and hope to get a credit.

I made a trip last December, I was able to combine a DING fare with a credit from my summer trip.

I bet you are still safe. For our last trip, I booked with SWA right about 2 months prior, then low and behold they run a better sale. I got the credit of course, but it figured. Just keep checking every day. That is what I always do.

I have been checking every flippin' day since April for my end of August trip. Finally bought my outbound flight about 2 weeks ago. Round trip from BWI to Orlando $166 pp. This is not great, but pretty good. By this time last year (and the year before) SWA had $49 one way flights from BWI. I keep hoping for a ding, but haven't even found a ding for my outbound (monday) flight. Found one for the return flight, but I had my heart set on staying at the world as long as possible and didn't want to leave earlier than my original 6pm flight.

Ironically, philadelphia to orlando has had a few dings, but I didn't want to change my dates. I guess if you can't be flexible, which I guess I'm not, you can't take advantage of the best dings.

No, we're still waiting for the magic of SW but I'm starting to feel a change of ways! My husband just said they're going up $10 on every fare...? I am too cheap to pay more than 79 one way! Call me spoiled but I won't go otherwise.
