Am I the only one worried?

I can't help but be worried about security at Disney after the bombings in Spain. I won't cancel my trip or anything crazy, but am wondering if I should do anything different. Any comments?

I think you just need to keep your eyes and ears open and be extra wary of anything suspicious, but we can't go about living our lives in constant fear. I'm sure Disney has done everything humanly imaginable to secure their resort.

Your not the only one worried. I am taking my DD on march 31 and I am a little freaked too. I actually cancelled a trip the Nov after sept 11. My husband is worried also because I am flying with DD as a surprise (we usually drive as we are only 3-4 hours away) and he isn't going. So its a crazy time during a crazier time in all of our lives but as long as you are watchful we have to live our lives and make our children secure and safe and happy. Long way of saying your not alone. :D

I agree with you both, I will still be going and taking my kids. Thanks for your replies.

We are planning on going in Dec. I will be driving, just me and dd. We are meeting my parents there. My husband will be on a deployment. I will try to keep my eyes open to anything out of the ordinary. I know we get swept up at times and just lose ourselves, but we will just put our faith in security. I won't stop living my life. You can always get hit by a bus crossing the street. Life is too unpredictable to worry about things you can't control.

i look at it like this, if we are gonna get it, it really does not matter where we are, we need to live each day because we don't know what to expect. I honestly believe the highest security measures are in place.

yep I am sorta, but also have an anxiety ridden 10 year old that since 9/11 is afraid to fly, actually am not talking about it much and US Air said I could bring him to the airport before the flight and go to customer service and they might show him a video and talk to him. My concern is that is Easter and alot of people are flying.. Keepign my figures crossed.::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo PS I agree if we are going to get it we have no control which is really scarey

We are not going as soon as other folks (Sept for us) and this is how I calm my nerves, especially since 9/11 because we were in Disney a week after that tragic day. I say to myself that if anything, God forbids, happens I am at least spending my final moment in my favorite place with the people in my life that I love the most. This may sound a little morbid, but it makes me feel better.

When you go, have fun, and try not to think about terrorists. You are at the happiest place on earth and enjoy every moment that you have.
