Am I the only one who wishes deluxe studios had king size beds

I mean, I’d be fine if they got rid of a bed stand to give me the room for a king sized bed. I just think a deluxe resort should have deluxe accommodations, which I think include a king sized bed.

Even the cash Poly rooms have queen size beds and no bathrobes (except the honeymoon suite!). And yea, in any other $800/night room I expect a king size bed and a bathrobe. But not at Disney!

I guess Disney thinks that’s for honeymoons.

A queen size bed is 6’8” tall. Y’all should have saved your NBA money to go to the Four Seasons.

And the size of a standard pillow is 20" x 28". So, unless you aren't using a pillow, the 6'8" total usable length of a queen bed is down to under 6'.

DVC wants to stuff as many into a studio as possible as a sales technique. King beds either create more booking categories with availability wrinkles, or reduce capacity.

I'd certainly love a king bed, but be careful with what you wish for. If they did upgrade to a king, studios could become the hardest room type to book!

:rolleyes1 :teeth:

And not just a DVC sales technique - families of five crammed into a studio mean three little princes and princesses demanding Mickey Bars, princess dresses, Lego sets and character meals. We spent a lot less money on crap when we stopped going with little kids.

We have a king @ home and therefore "need" a king on vacation or then there is too much touching going on!

We therefore reserve 1 BRs for us when we stay DVC vs. just a studio..

AND we have a reservation for BWI in November, and we dont know if its a king or 2 queens - but if we get 2 queens, then we each get our own bed! :rotfl2:

We have a super king at home, so the beds do feel microscopic to us! I would love if they could upgrade to kings (like almost every other hotel in the world at this price point...!) - especially in places like the Poly where the studios are huge.

i think they put too much sqft into the bathrooms and should have given us a king bed and more room space

I prefer a queen as I sleep in the middle of the bed. I love my children, but I don't want them in bed with me and that's what would happen in a king.

Haha…this is the exact problem. However, my significant other says I sleep like I’m posing for the Heisman Trophy. This is why King Beds were created: To put an end to these arguments.

and I will admit that I do enjoy sleeping in the middle of the bed.... :rolleyes1

and DH is also 6'4" and with a queen bed his toes tend to hang off the end...
