I know that a lot of people would never want to go to DisneyWorld by themselves. But I guess that this is one of the MANY things that makes me different from most people lol > I love going to DisneyWorld by myself. I like have my hotel room all to myself and I like doing the character meals all by myself and I like doing the rides by myself and I love walking around my myself looking all cute and shy :goodvibes

There are so many advantages when you go by yourself. In my hotel room I can watch whatever I want and I can leave the tv on all night if I wish or turn it off. I don't have to worry about someone else being in the shower when I get up and want to take a shower and get ready to go ect. >

Also when I am at the parks I don't have to debate with someone on what I want to do. ha ha I have enough to do with a debate with myself on what I want to do :goodvibes But you see I would much rather debate with myself on what I want to do at the Magic Kingdom than to debate with another person :goodvibes So I can go on whatever rides I want to when I want to more or less lol > Also I can walk at my own speed and choose my own paths to walk. Another words if I want to walk from Main Street to it's a Small World but I want to go under the Castle to get there I can do that without having to debate this with another person :goodvibes

The characters meals are awesome when I am by myself. The only thing is I don't have someone with me to take a picture but Suzy and Perla are good about getting cast members to take are picture :goodvibes Also when the Mice or other characters come to my table at any character meal I am the center of their attention since I am the only one at the table :goodvibes

Also even though I go by myself I don't really feel like I am alone. I mean there are so many people at DisneyWorld at the Parks at the Resorts ect. > In my hotel room I have my little stuffed animals with me :goodvibes When I go out of my room there are people everywhere and sometimes I take one of my stuffed animals with me :goodvibes Sometimes when I go out I take that little stuffed animal bunny with the pocket's in his ears :goodvibes I can hold him by just putting my fingers in those pocket's :goodvibes

When I am at the Magic Kingdom I do not feel like I am alone at all. I mean there are so many people there. Plus a lot of the cast member's who are with the character's remember me :goodvibes Flower is a name that I am called by these cast members :goodvibes Sometimes they say the Flower Fan or the one who really loves Flower or sometimes they just call me Flower :goodvibes

Also Chip and Dale like to play with me :goodvibes Minnie likes to give me hugs and kisses :goodvibes I get a picture taken with Ariel almost every day that I am at the Magic Kingdom because she makes me blush :goodvibes Also when Suzy and Perla are at the Magic Kingdom I get lot's of picture's taken with them :goodvibes So you see I am never really alone even though I am always by myself if you see what I mean lol :goodvibes he he :goodvibes

So yes I love going to DisneyWorld by myself :goodvibes Anyway's would a person have fun if they where hanging out with me while I was in DisneyWorld ? Well it depends. Sometimes I do have someone with me when I am at DisneyWorld but most of the time I am by myself. So it depend's on what I am doing. If I am getting pictures taken with Suzy and Perla at the Magic Kingdom I don't think anyone would want to hang out with me then lol > I think they would get sick of going in the same line to watch me get pictures taken with the same 2 characters like 5 times in 3 hours :goodvibes

So most of the time it works out best if I just go by myself :goodvibes I can do my own little thing by myself while others do their own little thing together :goodvibes Anyways I just want to know if any one else likes to go to DisneyWorld by themselves. I am sure that there are not many people like me but that is fine. I happend to be a very one of a kind person and I like it :goodvibes But it would still be cool to see post from other's who are like me in some ways :goodvibes

I think it would be so much fun to go to wdw alone. I hate going with a big group because you spend so much time trying to figure out what to do. When it is just me and gf that is not so bad.

I always go by myself as no one ever wants go in my family. I enjoy myself as I can do what I want,go were I want , eat where I want or just lay back and take life easy. After all that's what a vacation is for. Wish I lived closer so I could go more often. This last December was a thrill of a lifetime for me. I did so many things I never did before and with the DDE card I ate a so many different places I would never had done otherwise. I hope I get to do it again this year. SO yes I am one of those who goes by myself you are not alone.

I've done most of my traveling alone as an adult, except for WDW. I just have so much fun with my friend, and it has a lot of personal meaning going with her, I can't imagine going without her.

I goto the parks SOLO all the time. I talk about the experience on my podcast quite often. Some people think I'm nutz but I've had the best trips of my life to the Disney parks while going Solo. Heck, I've even made friends at the parks.

I'm headed to Disneyland next week by myself to get some audio for my show and enroll in the Pirates of the Caribbean 5k charity event. Yup, I have to ride the thing for over 2 hours straight. Anyways, I'm excited.

If you are a Dis park fan, I highly suggest you try, at least, one solo trip. You'll look at the parks in a whole different light. The best thing of all about going solo is the fact that you actually have time to pay attention to the little details all around you since you aren't always rushing around with 2 or 3 other people vying for your attention.

I love taking solo trips to WDW. My big problem is that I start getting excited about going and start talking about it. Then my friends want to go! Every once in a while though, I get a solo trip in and I have no regrets. I even did a trip report for one of my solo trips before, the link is in my signature. Check it out. (Yes I know that was a shameless plug for my trip report, I couldn't help it. :teeth: )

I love going to the parks by myself. You can do whatever you want without having to worry about other people. My favorite things to do are see the characters, see the parades, and see the shows. After doing the CP last year, I'm not too worried about the rides.

I'm making my first solo trip in June and am looking forward to only worrying about it I am having a good time.

I've never made a whole solo trip, but each trip we have an "alone day" (an idea borrowed from the Griswolds in "Vegas Vacation") and I'll admit I enjoy that day in a special way. I can move around the parks faster, concentrating only on what interests me, and if I want to stop for a Mickey Bar, I don't have anyone there worrying about calories. I also enjoy people watching, an activity that bores my family to death, so this is my time for that. Best of all, I don't have to worry about being dragged onto RNRC. Once was enough!

I can see some advantages for a little while, but most of my Disney enjoyment comes from watching the smiles on my families' faces. Nothing quite like seeing my daughter's anticipation of riding Splash Mountain with her Daddy. My son's smiles come from the very first planning stages as he has memorized the unofficial guide. I am richly blessed.

Haven't had the opportunity to go solo. I *almost* can't even imagine it because, like Magic Man, I get SO MUCH out of watching my mom and my DS having such a good time. In the initial planning stages of this trip, my mom said she wasn't going and I was shocked. I had to rethink the whole trip. It's not that I couldn't go without her--DS and I would be fine. But we're so used to traveling with Grandma, it wouldn't be the same without her~!!~!

Maybe when DS is older and not as interested, I will venture there by myself. For now, I'm very happy with my traveling partners!!

I have never stayed at WDW by myself. Even when I have been without my family, I've been with colleagues at conventions. However, I do enjoy my early morning jaunts into the parks...alone!!

Hey FlowersChild,
I just got back from my first solo trip! I was there the same days that you were! I had a great time and have to say that when I first got there, I was kind of lost but, I soon got the hang of it and did what ever I wanted!

I loved being able to ride things over and over again! I rode Everest 10 times in a row! I love Mickey's Philharmagic and watched it over and over again too!

I had a great time but I did miss my family! Truth is, I can enjoy Disney no matter what the situation or who is with me!

Er...I may be alone here but I really only go to WDW because I have kids. A vacation that I would like to take alone is a tour of the WWII battlefields of Europe as I know my wife and kids probably would not want to do that, at least not right now.

I go solo all the time and Love it  I have the best time doing what I want when I want. I am going solo again april 27th thru May 3rd and can't wait. Though I will be meeting up with a friend and her family a lot this trip.

Well, I definately don't only go to Disney World because I have kids. DH and I have been many times alone (before Paul came along) and I've gone with my sister, friends, etc. and we always have a blast!!

However, I've only been on one solo trip, and I really didn't have all that great a time, honestly. I mean, for the first day or so it was pretty cool to do exactly what I wanted, eat exactly what I wanted, or whatever without having to think about anyone else. Pretty soon, though, that wore off and I missed having somebody to share the fun and excitement with.

I know lots of people love solo trips, but I don't see myself going on another one. It just isn't for me.

I haven't done a solo trip to WDW yet, but I hope to next year...and for all the reasons mentioned by the OP.

Don't get me wrong, I love going with my family and this May I am taking my 10 year niece and I'm sure we will have a blast, but I really can't wait to do a solo trip. Actually, my upcoming trip in May was originally going to be solo, but then it turned out my niece was able to go so that plan got scrubbed.

I think a solo trip would be wonderful...I could finally do the KTTK tour and all the little things I appreciate, but no one else in my family really does. My family likes Disney, but they don't LOVE it like I do. I think I'd have a wonderful time on a solo trip and can't wait to try it!

Exactly! Booking KTTK was the first thing I did after booking a room/ticket package.
