Am I the only one who DOES NOT watch Football?

We don't watch either, so happy my dh doesn't watch

although my stepson does, he is really into but the funny thing is he won't play football at school..what is up with that???

However when my dd cheers at high school games we HAVE to watch the games...

No you're not. We don't watch it either. KNow why we love the super bowl? Because that's when the puppy bowl is on animal planet. It's soooooooooooo great! You should check it out if you get animal planet channel.

No I don't watch football either...and oh my gosh do I catch hell for not being a Saints fan. We live 1 1/2 hours from New Orleans.

I don't usually watch any football either since DS moved out (he is a huge sports of any kind fan and watches non-stop); but I just couldn't help keeping up with the Saints this year.

This is just so exciting for the Saints and for NOLA! I do believe I will be watching the Superbowl this year--most years I don't even know who is playing.

DH watched both playoff games yesterday, I played Sims3 most of the afternoon and evening.

I enjoy watching sports, just about anything except football. Too much wasted time getting ready for a play. To me it's B-o-r-i-n-g, with a capital B for sure.

Not at all! Though DH watches his Alma Mater and the playoffs. I'm somewhat aware of what's going on, but most who know me don't engage me on it. I just don't care. Now baseball is another matter entirely...

Your husband and mine could be BFFs. My husband loves to watch sports. I find them all boring. So, I am usually on my laptop during the games. I think my laptop is what keeps our marriage going. We can be in the same room doing completely different things.

I used to be the same way, but recently made a real effort to understand the game . I am now am in love with it lol and happily sit next to DH yelling just as loud !!!!

We don't watch football either. Actually, we will watch the Superbowl. DH thankfully isn't really into football. He is a baseball fan and loves his Yankees and goes to games and will watch the games. That I can enjoy with him.(I hate all other sports!)

Football is like a sleeping pill to me, turn the game on and it puts me to sleep. My DH loves it, but even though I do understand the game, I don't see a reason to watch every single game that comes on TV. It's crazy to me.

I do not watch football, but I may check the scores if my hometeam is playing. We do watch the super bowl but just for the commercials.

I do not watch football either. I simply do not get why others do. I will once a year "watch" the superbowl at our annual party, but really i just daydream during the game and watch the commercials.
My dh does watch football, but not excessively....thank goodness. I could not deal with that.
Back in my dating days, if a guy was a huge football/sports watcher, that ended the relationship. Just seems like a lot of wasted time to me.

Not at all. I cannot stand football to be honest. Luckily for me, I don't live with (nor did I grow up with) any football fans so I don't have to put up with it. Maybe we'll watch the Superbowl every other year or so, but it's only for the commercials.

I realize this was an attempt at humor, but it's exactly this attitude that makes me so irritated. My DH is a musician - our DS is a creative soul who crochets, and neither have any desire to participate in or watch sports. But does that make them any less men? Not at all. They're the best men I know.

Why does society feel this way? Erg...

But seriously, if you are going to see just one football game each year and you make it the Superbowl and you are at a party, for the sake of everyone else around you, just watch the game.

I hate when I have to sit through a Superbowl and meet women who want to talk. I am there for the game. I will gladly be polite before and after but I also want to see the commercials, so please don't feel like I am being rude for not gossiping or going into the kitchen to help you or to look at your recipe for a 7-layer dip.
