Am I the only one who does not like a particular Disney character?

I hated "Darby" from Winnie the Pooh, but happily I hear she's been dropped from the franchise. Yay! :thumbsup2

I just didn't see the need to make Winnie the Pooh MORE appealing to girls. Girls have always loved that show. Whereas my teenage son has been swimming against the tide since he was a wee small guy, insisting that Pooh is awesome. He identified closely with the real life Christopher Robin, as he also didn't start his formal schooling until he was nine years old.

So he was very offended when Darby was introduced, as he saw it as an attempt to take all the "boy" out of Winnie the Pooh.

(We all really enjoyed the new Winnie the Pooh movie, however - found it to be a nice little nod at the original with fresh material.)

Awww..how can anyone hate Stitch? He was so misunderstood...When he said that line about family I melted. He actually reminds me of my Boston Terrier Boomer.

I really don't dislike any characters. Snow White always annoyed me though for some reason. I can never get through that movie.

And I think Dumbo is so cute but I will never ever watch that movie. I would not even let my kids watch that movie. I can't get past how much cruelty that poor little elephant went through. And the scene where he visits his mom locked up and she is rocking him. (I am tearing up just thinking about it)

Actually, Dumbo was very dear to me as a child for that exact reason - all the teasing he endured!

I was abused a lot in school, both by other kids and by some of the teachers. They were just really, really mean. Dumbo convinced me that it was okay to be different (to be "weird"), and I could survive being disliked, and it gave me hope that someday I'd be someone.

I think for me, even though I wasn't gay, Dumbo was like my own personal "It gets better" PSA. :thumbsup2

Dumbo's an important movie, for a lot of people who have gone through the same things that little elephant did - namely, being disliked and rejected for things beyond your control. I made my kids watch it, so we could talk about teasing and bullying.

And yeah - the song makes me cry, too. My mom used to sing it to me. :lovestruc

Stitch is one of my daughters favorites and I like him too, one of Disney's cooler characters...as far as Tink she is great real cute Disney's sexiest character especially the one at the character meet and greet at Magic Kingdom...:lmao:

Don't like Tink - she's WAAYYY too bratty and nasty to Wendy
Stitch is just meh
Incredibles don't interest me not does Mulan
Mary Poppins - never had any desire to watch the movie

my fav's are Belle, Tigger, Pooh, Marie (yeah, I know she's bratty!) Jasmine & Aladdin, Meeko

My 8 year old nearly comes to tears at the mere mention of Dumbo, or Bambi( which she has never even watched after her Dumbo melt down), also the Lion King.

I don't like Tink. We all know the truth about her. How she tried to steal Peter and got all jealous of Wendy. Not to mention the short skirt its scandelous. Then there is poor Donald. What did he do to end up with Daisy. Always nagging never giving him a chance. She's always scolding him. I would like Donald to find another duck I'm sure there are plenty out there.

I'm not a fan of Pooh...and Tigger is worse. I always called Tigger the evil one, he's EVERYWHERE, and everyone thinks he's so adorable and innocent..just wait.

The one face character I can't look at the same way? Aurora. I always preferred Maleficent anyway, but after seeing her up close, we realized she has an uncanny resemblance to Lady Gaga. I cannot unsee that. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

OH MY! I don't think I will be able to look her straight in the face anymore. :lmao:

Mushu from Mulan. My Eddie Murphy tolerance is low to begin with and I just want to pitch Mu-Shu out a window.

Right there with ya! Stitch is awesome! And yes, Dumbo and that little mouse friend of his are kind of cute, but I can't watch the movie. Pink elephants scare the heck out of me.

I admit it -- I am one of the previous posters (and haters) of Stitch but I think I'm going to have to watch him again before my trip. My son is almost 2 and for some reason I think he will really like him.

That would be my luck

I always loved Belle. Smart, had standards, didn't care what he looked like, etc. Then a friend of mine said she was horrified when she took her dd to see it. Her take...? Hmm, why would a woman stay with a man who treated her & her family (Belle's father - Maurice) so horribly abusive. She said it sends the message to hang in there no matter how horrible it is, and eventually he will become a prince. hmmm, I had NEVER thought of it that way. Actually, she kind of ruined the movie for me. :confused3

I am not a fan of the movie cars, but I like the characters Doc and Mater.

I like all the villians, as in they are good villians, not that I want them over for dinner.

I got turned off from Cinderella in the parks, she wasn't a "warm" character (she actually checked her watch while posing for a photo with dd, up until then I loved her.

I hate what Disney did with Iago (sp?), from Aladdin. First he's a bad guy, then the next movie he's not so bad, then the cartoon on tv he's just about Aladdins best bud. Is he a villian or a good guy?

Not a fan of the humans in 101 dalmations. Who stays friends with Cruella? College friend or not... I guess Roger isn't too bad, at least he stands up to her.

As far as tink goes, I like her in the original Peter Pan. that's about it. She shouldn't talk. Her body language is what made her so appealing IMO.
blah blah blah
I forget his name, but I love the guy from Pete's Dragon. Nora's father. Played by Mickey Rooney. hehehe He reminds me of my Grandfather.

:thumbsup2

I think this is just because of the newer movies that have come out recently. The younger kids don't see much of Mickey, or Donald Duck in the new TV shows.

How can I love Donald when I can't understand a word he is saying?? His voice makes me want to slam my head in a car door. Seriously.

I'm not a huge Tink fan either. I don't hate her, but she's not my favorite.

I'm a villain lover. I'm so pumped about MNSSHP so that I can enjoy some character meet and greets with the villains.

Least favorite Disney princess- Snow White. She has the personality of a spoon.

The Country Bears creep.me.out.

I could take or leave the characters from Bugs Life (except Francis- I heart Dennis Leary)

I don't really care for Pinocchio and I can't stand Fox and the Hound- the story, the characters, all of it.

I like Alice in Wonderland except for the scene with the walrus and the massacre of the baby oysters. Even as a child, that scene disturbed me.

I don't like Lotso either- probably the only villain I don't like. I think lots of the other villains have a nice cunning/witty edge to their evilness that I like, but Lotso is a mean bully with no redeeming qualities to me. Unless you count smelling like strawberries as a redeeming quality.

ETA- Kuzco. I can't believe I forgot him. I don't know that I have even seen the movie in it's entirety as this character grates on my nerves SO much.

I am not a fan of Tinker Belle. I actually cringe when I see tshirts with her on it.
