Am I the only one that loves the music in the parks?

I love listening to the music as I'm waiting in line for the ride. And, on occasion, I hear something like it (for some reason the theme for the Greg Garrison show) here at home and it makes me Oh So Happy! Anyone else like me? :earboy2:

Yes! You should try listening to live365.com. There are a number of stations that stream music from the parks so you can listen to your heart's content from home and get your Disney music fix!

I love it and that station, too!

How loud is the music?

Heh, I'm sitting here reading the DISboards, while live365 MouseHouse is streaming into the living room... I think my wife thinks I'm crazy.

Help! :confused3
I tried logging on to live365.com...but it's not too easy to understand...
- where's the disney music posted?
- is it free to access any of the Disney music or do I need to join the 'VIP' club?

Can't wait to add the disney magic to my computer during my 63 days of counting down! :cool1:
Thanks!

Thanks!

It was rather confusing. I'm a Mac user (the few, the proud...), so I probably won't be able to help you. But, I did help someone at work get it working on her Windows box:

- you CAN listen free, but you'll have occasional "Join VIP and don't hear this message" every once in a while.
- they have bazillions of stations; there was a thread on Disney-related live365 stations on the DVC board recently, and the following were popular:

Mouse House Radio
Park Hopper Radio
MouseWorld
Radio Buena Vista
Intercot
D-Magic
Sorcerer Radio

There's a search button to find the station you want. I'd try Mouse House first.

- you do NOT need to download their player if you don't want to; I think you can get Real Player to play their streams

(I'm lucky. As a Mac user, when I click on their play button, it downloads a little playlist file for me, and when I open that, it automatically opens iTunes. If you happen to use iTunes, you ought to be able to do that too. I think by using iTunes, I avoid seeing their banner ads too :) )

Good luck. I'm sure someone else who uses Windows will be able to help you better, but at least I've pointed you to some of the more popular Disney stations!

Joe

I just logged on the 365live.com and it works great! Thanks for the info!

Not very loud at all. It ususally themed with the ride you are getting on. I don't know...it's just one of those things that bring back good memories and good feelings when I hear it. :goodvibes Silly, ain't I?

Oh I just love the music too! Here in Texas there is a radio station that plays music similar to that of WDW. Can't recall which radio station, but anyway sometimes when I get the Disney Blues I listen to it. It makes me so Happy again!!!

I really enjoy listening to the music while I'm in the Parks. I read where the music is designed so that it's similar to a movie. As you walk into a park notice the "big introductory" type music. It changes as you walk through the different areas. As you leave, notice how the music mellows, as with the closing credits. I've especially noticed it at MK, and EPCOT.

I LOVE this live365.com. How fun is that!!! :goodvibes Thanks for the info JEANJOE!

I'm a Mac user at school, I seem to understand that better...

right now all I'm getting is ads, over and over, I think I did something wrong!!

I am in LOVE with Disney park music! I listen to it constantly. My favorite CD is the "Official Album of WDW"...it has lots of the music from my favorite rides. :goodvibes :goodvibes

There are some new park music cd's coming out for the 50th celebration. :cool1:

This may be specific to how your Mac is set up, but on mine, when I click on the "Play" button, it doesn't start playing, but downloads a tiny iTunes file to my downloads area. When you double-click on that, it starts up iTunes, and iTunes connects to the internet radio station and starts playing.

You can also drag that little file into an iTunes playlist (I have one called "Radio"), to collect a set of your favorite internet radio stations.

For Disney music, in addition to live365, there's the one mentioned by the utilidors.com poster (will try that soon), and also "subsonicradio.com", which I have tried.

Good luck!

Don't forget, there are a few places where you can download individual audio tracks -- although the legality of this is questionable, it's still enjoyable to listen to Disney music while at work or at home, and I love being able to listen to whatever I feel like listening to!
