Yes, I go for the food. I love having 100s of restaraunts to choose from on the DDP. I love the fact that so much, and desserts and not gain weight 'cause all the walking I d do there!

When I go on other trips to FLA people ask me if I'm going to Disney. They don't understand why a Disney world addict such as myself doesn't want to go a park for a day. I try to explain that I love WDW the resort, not the parks. Now, that doesn't mean that I don't love the parks. But what I truly love is the entire experience. Which means MCO, ME, CBR, or POR or AKL tec, and ADRs in addition to MK, AK. EPCOT, and Studios. Get it?? You don't have to a CM to know the language. And that what makes me an addict. It truly is its own World with its own language, and FOOD!

So, I go to WDW because I love the food, and the resorts, and of course the parks.

Nope! We make all of our plans around our Advanced Dining Reservations!! :-) (That's why we love the Disney Food Blog so much)

I love all of your acronyms, too! We do live in a different world as Disney addicts, don't we?!? ;-)

We used to really look forward to the food, but not anymore. I have found that the menus have been dumbed down and standardized in recent years and the food is just not as interesting.

LOVE THE FOOD! It's the first thing I plan!! :)

My goal is to try and eat at all the restaurants. Don't know if that will ever happen but darn it I am gonna try.

This year we will be trying Ohana, The Brown Derby, Raglan Road, and Cape May Cafe. A good list to add to the others we have already tried!!! :rotfl:

Cant wait.....to eat!!!:banana::banana::banana:

I go to Donald's Safari Breakfast@ the Tusker House for the FOOD and the JUICE...YUMMO!

And I, too, plan my park days around my ADR's.

I enjoy a few restaurants but we definitely don't go for the food. Most of it is mediocre IMO and some is awful. We go for the parks and only the parks.

I do but only for Boma. I don't spend a lot of time in the restaurants when I am there. Not only can I find better food for less money elsewhere but if you live anywhere near a large city variety is easy to find if you know where to look.

In my opinion, the food has really gone down in quality over the years. I go to WDW to have fun, food is just fuel.....a necessary thing to sustain life!

I don't know if it was the advent of the dining plan or what......but the quality and choices both got worse and though we plan our meals (another necessary evil) it's not really anything we seriously look forward to.:confused3

Absolutely. The variety of food is one of the best things about Disney. Of course, I mean the variety of table service, because counter service is pretty weak, except for Epcot.

We love planning our ADRs. We look forward to the restaurants almost as much as the parks and resorts. :cloud9:

We do love the food at WDW! :thumbsup2 It's a great way for us to have food that we normally couldn't get locally. Some of the restaurants are so good and so different from anything we have ever tried.. Like Boma and Marrakesh! Yum!

Plus it is SO nice not to have to cook for a week! I finally get some time off! :lmao:

We used to, back when the food was unique and good. Now we do more dining in our villa or CS meals on the fly because the food has become average. There are some exceptions but for the most part, we have been disappointed with the trend in this last decade.

You said it all HunnyJar!
We love the food, the service at the restaurants and just not having to do dishes for a week! :woohoo:

I won't say I go "FOR" the food, but our meals play a SIGNIFICANT role in our experience. We DO take advantage of the 180 days ( previously 90 days ) ADR window because we love to eat here and know what/when/where we want to eat :)

For us food is at the top of the reasons why we go to WDW. The highlite of each day is dinner--and seeing the various resort hotels where we dine.

Dinner is a big part of our trips. As our kids have grown we find that we all look forward to our sit down dinners. We love all the choices and have our favorite places and like to try new ones too (although we've been going for so long there's not much new to us anymore). I love the fact that our kids still like to be with us and spend a long leisurely time having dinner and talking. Almost always people around us comment on how it seems we're having a great time. This is how we've altered our trips from when the kids were little. Back then it was character meals, character greetings, etc. Now it's a nice meal, wine and talking, laughing and catching up with each other with no cell phones, no distractions, just family time. I LOVE IT!! We still love the parks, we have APS, but we are more into the whole experience, the resorts, eating, and basically spending time as a family in our "happy" place.

Enjoy The Magic!!

Average *and* expensive! I guess I wouldn't be so honked off at the averageness if I didn't have to pay so much for it. And don't even get me started on the price of buffets these days :scared1:.

OT: I see on your ticker that you are going to China and Egypt. Way cool! I loved China and Egypt is very near to the top of my "short list". I am VERY jealous!

We love the food in Disney! In 8 trips I've only had one truly bad experience and the cause was service ( rather, the lack of). I love daydreaming about the French toast at Boma, the sandwiches at The Plaza, and the crabcakes at San Angel, among others. A lot of people complain but I'm not one of them. Even without the dining plan we eat about 2 TS meals a day in Disney.

My DH goes to WDW for the food. DS and I like the parks and food equally. DH just kind of goes with the flow through the parks, knowing that at several points during eaqh day he will get what he came for: food. :rotfl:

NO, I do too..In fact I get teased in my family about the "food porn" here. Its the food, the resorts, the ppl and the parks..almost no where else Id rather be..well with the exception of hawaii..lol
