Am I the only one that gets angry about this?

UGH! I come here to de-stress, have fun, some laughs, just let down my hair and get some great advice from friends and strangers alike. But recently I posted on a thread that was not what it seemed to be, and it wasn't the first time that's happened. It really ticks me off and hurts me to later find out that I've been unknowingly part of something that I never would have been part of if I knew the thread had a hidden agenda or message .

I always say what I mean and mean what I say. At times it may be misunderstood, but at least I don't try to fool people into posting somethng hurtful to someone else, and I can't stand it when that happens to me or others.

And mods or WM's, feel free to delete this if you'd like and I apologize if this causes any problems. I always say what I feel and mean. I just hate getting caught up in "stuff" that could be either a little or very hurtful to someone.

Now back to our regularly scheduled Dixie Chicks, pro George, anti- Bill, pro Bill, anti- George, anti-war, pro-war, picture posting, Pixie Dust throwing, prayer saying, funny, controverial, joking, venting, sad, interesting or fluffy posts.

Oh, and please don't PM me to ask what's going on. I'm lousy at answering PM's and there isn't any one time that stands out. It just happens a lot and I felt like saying something.

Maggie, I do understand.. sometimes I get dragged in and sometimes I cannot control myself.... I feel passionately about what I do believe in...I am also a what you see is what you get type of person and my honesty sometimes get me in trouble..

Sometimes I think we need some sort of rating system for threads on the community board so we can just skip them like we might skip an X rated movie. You know, perhaps something like HA for Hidden Agenda, or PSC for prodding social concience or IBB (I'll be back) for those "I'm leaving forever" threads, W for whining threads (I posted one, sorry), V for venting threads. SI for sexual innuendo threads. I'm sure we could come up with many more. Ooooh, just thought of a couple more, LR for liberal rant and CR for conservative rant. PB for president bashing, PP for president praising. Can you think of any?

I understand Saffron. I've learned to stay away from the debate boards and I've recently learned my lesson to avoid even looking at some threads. I just wanna' have fun and escape some of the negativity on the news. Isn't that what Disney is all about?!

I completely agree with you Maggie, and with the others who have responded to you. I also have learned to avoid certain posts.

I like Kath's idea of a rating system...that could be fun. Here's some more:

FR (food related)
CR (child related - could contain descriptions of bodily functions!)
SOR (significant other related)

Thanks everyone. I'm sorry to see that some of you have had this happen in the past. It's so frustrating!

I don't mind controversial threads. I have strong opinions about certain subjects and don't mind voicing them. I don't mind hearing other opinions either. I really don't. When they degenerate into name calling I'm out of there though. It's the hidden agenda stuff that gets to me. And --- if you don't know what I'm talking about, boy are you lucky!

And, I have some ore ratings for Katholyn!

FZ = Fun Zone or Fluff Zone for game threads and just plain ol' fun things
BT = Brag Threads about something, either kids or some sort of achievement, accomplishment, good things that happen!
G.R.O.A.N = "Goofyposter's Ramblings of Another Nature" posts. ROTFLOL!
