Every time I try to log on to the DVC member site I have trouble. I don't do it very often because I always have an issue with it. It doesn't recognize me, it doesn't recognize my password, I doesn't recognize my pin, it tells me I have the wrong information, it tells me I have to fill in information that is already filled in...................& it goes on.

Does anyone else have these issues, & if so, what do you do?

Maybe your internet provider has something to do with it. Are you AOL? AOL seems to have problems with everything.

I am with AOL, but I tried through Internet Explorer also & the same thing happened. Actually, I got on to a DVC site, but there is still a spot for member login & I don't have access to any account information. :confused3

I just logged on to the DVC web site through AOL. No problem & was able to check my acct. seems to be working now.

I have AOL and haven't had any of those problems.

I'm sorry that the OP is having problems with the website though:sad1:

As silly as this sounds... go to the main WDW page and log in... then log out and close all the windows. THEN try logging into the member site.

Let me know if that works

I've long given up on the member website, it hasn't worked for me since March of 2006. I can log in, but when I try to check my points I get the message "Sorry, the page you are tying to access is currently unavailable". Still get the same message today, doesn't matter if I use IE, Firefox, Opera, etc. Made several phone calls to MS, each time telling me they would look into the problem and get back to me, never had anyone get back to me. Gave up trying.

Early on we has some issues that seemed to have to do with accounts on other disney sites. once we got all the accounts lined up there was no problem. Definitely worth a call to DVC to fix because site is invaluable when working properly.

That was one of the things I tried early on, making sure I had one logon for both the Disney and DVC website, but that didn't do the trick. Everything else on the site seems to work, just can't view my points online, I must have called a dozen times to get it fixed. I just don't bother trying anymore and just assume I have no points for current year and already borrowed most of my points from the next year. :)

There are several problems that cause us not to log on to the DVC website. All Disney sites use cookies that are placed on your computer.

DO NOT DELETE YOUR DISNEY COOKIES. :surfweb:

Many people delete their cookies either manually or through another utility program. If you delete your cookies you will not be taken to the correct web page to log on.

If you have a failed log on and you are taken to the call MS for help page, you must delete the Disney cookies even if your log on problem gets fixed. Failure to do so will keep you from logging on.

Disney now uses your email address as your account ID. If you change your email address on the DVC website, you will cause your DVC log on to fail. You must go to the other Disney sites and change your address there first. Then you need to wait 24 hours to make sure that you new address has been shared between the Disney systems. Delete your Disney cookies and try to log on to the DVC website with your new email address. If it fails, call MS and request that they transfer you to website support. They will need to delete your accounts on each Disney system to let you start fresh. Don't forget to delete your Disney cookies before you start the re-registration process or you will need to start the whole process over.

During the last few weeks I have spent a couple of hours on the phone with support to fix our log on problem. Doing the above has fixed the problem in the past after a email address change. This time our problem has been refered to a different tech support group for resolution. :sad2:

I got that all the time. I gave up and just use my DH's login now. I think to fix it you have to call MS and get a new pin/id to log in, but I don't care enough because I can still access all the info.

I delete all cookies regularly and have no problems logging on to the DVC site -- I do however use Firefox 2.0.0.5 and it's password manager -- it remembers my logon and password without the need for cookies.

IE such a great tool...it is responsible for 80% of all MS patches.

I had the same problem could not view my point info for about 3 months. It took about 4 calls to ms then I finally spoke to someone in accounting to pay my annual dues and let them know I was not happy that I could not pay them online. The problem was fixed in about a week.

I find that every now and then, all of my browsers get locked out of the MyDVC website (Safari, Firefox, Camino - all Mac browsers). Cleaning out the cookies and the cache seems to fix the problem each time. I've never had to re-register, just re-enter my login and password.

DVC may be requiring email addresses for new registrations, but my original user name and password still work fine (occasional cookie/cache cleanings notwithstanding).

What is strange about my situation is that I am able to pay my annual dues online, all the links on the Annual Dues page work. I've never had a login issue either, but any link on any page for Vacation Points (or My Points) doesn't work (I get the Sorry, the page you are trying to access is currently unavailable). Everything else works fine.

I did notice my contract information seems strange on the annual dues page - I should have 5 contracts, it shows my last contract ending in .6 and references another contract ending in .5 that doesn't show up in the detail. Since I want to call and check that out I'll try getting the points fixed again.

I absolutely dispise the new Disney website. I don't like the layout, it's frequently slow, and, IMHO, much more difficult to navigate than the old layout.

I very frequently have problems logging into the DVC website.

After entering my correct user name & password, it takes me to a 90% blank screen (except for the top bar of links) and the bar at the bottom of IE7 shows "error on page". I've tried the clearing cache and clearing cookies. Doesn't work.

Clicking on the error message shows this popup:
"Problems with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly."

Then, in the box it shows:
Line: 59
Char: 2
Error: 'document.getElementByld(...)' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: http://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/memberHome?id=memberHomePage

DRIVES ME NUTS!

What browser do you use?

IE7 (Internet Explorer 7)

I did download Firefox to see if it was an IE issue, and I CAN get in using Firefox. (insert Microsoft bash here) But, I REALLY would prefer not have to use a completely separate browser just for the DVC member site. (insert another Microsoft bash here).
