Am I the only one devastated by the Country Bear Jamboree Updates just released?

We’ve been going to Disney World for almost 40 years, and it’s my happy place. That said, I can’t think of any attraction change or closure that would devastate me. Maybe it’s the word choice. Things change, and this thread will likely spur me to visit Vountry Bears n3 t trip
I loved the original Snow White's Scary Adventure ride and the original Figment ride. Those are the ones I miss the most.

I understand why this needed updated. I don’t like the choices they made. Most of the songs don’t sound like country, are too polished, and sound too modern for a land that is supposed to be set back in frontier times. Thematically the lyrics make no sense either. None of it has anything to do with the frontier or the west. I’m getting a little tired of IP being shoehorned in instead of meticulously maintaining themes. What would be wrong with an updated Country Bear Jamboree where they still sang time-appropriate lyrics with time-appropriate arrangements, just updated to remove biased/non-family friendly lyrics?

I saw this finally and I absolutely loved it. The changes were welcome, loved hearing the Disney songs in this fashion and it was funny! I laughed so hard with Big Al.

It's the same show y'all. Just a different setlist. Even your favorite artists have to change it up once in a while. 😂

It was John Cleese or one of the other Pythons that said, about their semi-recent reunion show, that there was no new material because those that bought the tickets wanted to see the routines they already knew and loved. Cant really say he was right or wrong. Just that it was their show and their choice.

That said, the updated Country Bear Jamboree show was great. The non-updated Tiki show was great also but I would enjoy watching an updated one if it was done. And of course we all know the same kind of discussions happened when they updated Pirates of the Caribbean to be more in line with the movies and contemporary audiences etc. Didnt hear one complaint from any rider about Tiana when I finally was able to get on it. Will be curious to see what they do with Test Track.

I don't mind good changes but hate it when they remove something. I'm so glad that Big Al is still there.

We finally saw the new show. We boycotted it last trip :) but felt it was time to give it a go. I'm trying to say this in the nicest way possible. It is as uninteresting and emotionally unreactive as staring at a grey wall for 20 minutes. Between the two, I'd pick the wall.

🤔 OK I'm trying to say this in the nicest way I can..
I am in complete disagreement with the 20 minutes evaluation. I thought it was very well done with nods to past versions.
As the saying goes: to each their own 👍

I wholeheartedly disagree; this is one of the rare times lately when I can say the upgrade was absolutely worth it.

While I think I prefer the old version, I don't hate teh new version - I thought it was good. Considering it was either change up the show or lose the Bears entirely, I'll take it and be happy. They'd have probably replaced it with another DVC lounge - you can never have too many of those.

I'm glad you guys like it. While I didn't enjoy it, my post was more tongue in cheek. It used to be my favorite attraction, but I understand that it wasn't for everyone. This change alone won't make me stop going to WDW, but it is a huge loss, in my opinion.
I'm curious though, why are the only two options to change it, or to lose it? Did it need a lot of refurbishment and it didn't make sense to invest in a show that wasn't super popular?

I love the new version (still hoping the Christmas show comes back someday)
