Muppets could use a little updating.
My DD grew up with the Iago version of Tiki Room, we stopped going to it when the new/old version opened up. We just spend more time on HM, PoC, or other attractions we love.I'm sorry. I'm not averse to all things new, but this musical score is going to completely change the whole show. This is not a refurb like we were initially led to believe but a total overhaul. My kids cried watching the previews, and the songs, other than the Bear Necessities, have no place in this show. I'm going to have to move into the TIKI room before they destroy that too. I get that these are not the most popular attractions, but when I would stop in once on every visit, my entire childhood flooded back to me and my kids feel the same. What is wrong with appreciating what it was for the time it was made in and cleaning up the costumes and animatronics but keeping it the same?

Half the fun of the show was just watching the audience reactions. I don't think there was anything egregious in the show, but it definitely caught people off guard. I'll miss it dearly, but I hope the new show at least gives a sliver of nostalgia. I'd love to hear the Bear Band Serenade again. Zeke and Zeb and Ted and Fred, and a bear name Tennessee.
Thank you! We attend Country Bears every two or three visits, and it was driving me crazy trying to remember the rest of this song. The current short version doesn't make any sense, but the full one does. I miss the longer versions of the other songs, too, and I look forward to seeing the new show.well, all of that is indeed in the show. I guess it's just a matter of whether or not on thinks it is inappropriate. I don't really - it's just for fun. The songs are jokes. The one song about blood...
There was blood on the saddle and blood all around
And a great big puddle of blood on the ground
A cowboy lay in it all covered with gore
And he never will ride any broncos no more
Oh, pity the cowboy, all bloody and red
For the bronco fell on him and bashed in his head
There was blood on the saddle and blood all around
And a great big puddle of blood on the ground
So the joke is that his horese fell on him. It's the unexpected reason that makes it funny.
We went a couple times last summer hearing it was changing and for some AC.I don’t know anything about the remake, but I know the last time we went it was wholly inappropriate and it in no way had aged well at all. We are pretty laid back on topics we would discuss when our kids were little and we were appalled. Nostalgia aside, it needed to go.
