Am I reading this right-- is the Fantasy Passeport Annuel right for me?

Hello all-- I'm reading up and planning for my family's very short first-time visit to Disneyland Paris while we're in France this summer, and I have a couple questions. First, am I understanding this right-- it's about 636 euros for my family of five (one under 11) to buy 2 day/2 park passes, and about 630 euros to buy the Fantasy Passeport Annuel (with the family of 5+ discount of 20%), plus we get 10% off in restaurants and boutiques, and extra magic hours? Could I be reading that right?!? The only blackout day in July is the 6th, and we're not going until the 7th or 8th.

My other question is, has anyone in the US had luck ordering their APs by phone? According to DLRPmagic.com, the easiest way is to buy them in person at the parks, which they say takes about an hour, but with only two days, I'd prefer not to lose an hour of park time!

Many thanks!

yes, you are understanding the fantasy passport prices and advantages perfectly :).

About the time waiting for them at the pasport bureau, it really depends.

I got my AP on Halloween night, it took us 10 minutes and we were out of there.

Though, back in 2007, it took about 1,5 hour.

You could always try calling anyways?
Then you'll know for sure all the answers to your questions about the AP's being shipped to the US :)

Thank you!

You can use the order form and have them sent to you

http://idf-offres.disneylandparis.fr/FR/FR/Local/Images/bon-de-commande.pdf

You can pay by card when you don't have a French cheque book and it says that postage is included

These will come as permanment APs. Any other that you buy will be temporary and will have to be exchanged for permanment ones at the AP office.

:)

If I applied via post from the uk for 5 passes with shareholder discount would I need to send actual passports and shareholder card off with the application form?

You send photocopies of each passport - They want the page with the photo and signature and number.

As it doesn't say anything about combing shareholder discount with family discount on that form I would ring and ask them if you can do this by post or not and if so is it this standard order form or another one.

And when they reply you will just send a photocopy of the front and back of the card

You never send originals through to them.

Bear in mind that it can take 21 days standard from the date they receive your order and when they send them out - thats for France so it could take a while longer for other countries :)

Thanks so much, I'm not going until end of May so have lots of time. I'll give them a call to find out bout shareholder discount.

Also for how long it takes at the AP office it really does depend - I went on a Saturday afternoon in December and the office was deserted (so in and out in about 15 minutes), but at the same time the next day there was a queue stretching out the door!

The other thing that adds on to time to get APs is the queue to buy the AP at the park ticket booths (which would depend on time of day and other factors) - not sure if there's any other way of buying it though?

Sundays are the worst day generally in the AP office as you have the locals with their special offers who come in as well as the rest

You can pre purchase an AP on several French sites which then lets you go straight through the turnstiles - so at least you cut out queuing at the ticket booths :)

Oh that would explain why it was so crowded on the Sunday then - was just a bit puzzled by that when I was there!

Can you pre-purchase the AP and then use that to renew an AP (for the 18 months instead of 12 months)? If this is possible will try that if I renew my current AP (as it at least saves the additional ticket booth queue)...

When you want to renew your present AP you just go to the AP office and pay for a new one there. You'll get the extra 6 months with going anywhere near the ticket booths ;)

That's good to know! :) Just need to go to the AP office on a less crowded day (so not a Sunday then!!)
