Am I overthinking castle meals?!

I need some help (of the “please keep me sane” type). We are having breakfast at BOG more or less to show dd3 and dd6 the castle and for an a/c break. We will all probably just share one entree, so my question is more about these choices as “attractions” than eating factor. Which would you prefer:
1) Breakfast at BOG the same day as CRT lunch (but this option works better in the overall itinerary)
2) On separate days, but would cause a disjointed park itinerary

Are 2 castle experiences in one day overkill? Or is there no such thing and I’m overthinking it?

We've done both in the same day several times. No problem at all. Do whatever works best with your touring plan.

You are overthinking this. If you were plannign two Princess meals in one day that might be too many in that you may meet two different friends of the same Princess, but the Beast's Castle at breakfast has no character interaction to worry about.

definitely overthinking. On my last trip I planned so carefully and then I realized I had Ohana and Garden Grill breakfasts back to back on a 10 day trip. On paper this seems like the worst idea ever but by the time I realized it, it was too late to change. We loved both and it didn't matter one bit that we ate virtually the same menu 2 days in a row. I think this board is full of overthinkers.

If you have not been to the castles before I tell everyone that they have to do it once. I have girls so I have had to do the pilgrimage to the castles more than once. Make an adventure of it to your girls. My now 18 year old still remembers her first trip to CRT when she was 5.

We've done both on the same day and it was fine. I want to add too... We did CRT in 2016 and 2017 and then again last week. My husband and I both agreed that our meals were sooo much better this year than they were in the past. I had the scallop appetizer and the beef tenderloin entrée. It was really good! Hope you enjoy your trip!

I agree you're over thinking it. The BOG breakfast is one of my favorites but we rush in and out. We look around while waiting on our food. The atmosphere is great but I don't really consider it a castle experience as I do the BIG castle lunch/dinner. Be our guest breakfast is great just not as WOW as the main castle. I see no problem with them back to back :)

It's hard to answer without knowing how splitting it over two days would affect your itinerary. I would only do it the same day if I got a pre-park opening reservation at Be Our Guest. Otherwise, you are losing too much time from rides at morning ours when the lines are lowest, in my opinion. But we've done BoG breakfast pre-park opening and Cinderella's lunch multiple times and it is a great combo.

On the same day would be a 10-ish “breakfast” on a emh 8am start so 2 hrs. in amd we will be ready for an a/c and snack break! This is also Day 2 of MK so we can really hit the ground running and jump right into rides at 8. These reasons are why it works better itinerary-wise on this day (also our crt day). The other option that doesn’t work so well is 10-ish of a 9am day (our first MK day when I wasn’t hoping to rush the MK experience...).

Thank you! This is great to hear - 2 other friends of mine who just got back also really enjoyed the food there. Maybe they upped their game! I’m excited now to try the scallop, and I suppose I can do the charcuterie at bog so I don’t feel like I’m missing out!

I loved the charcuterie breakfast at BoG. It wasn't what I planned but I changed it at the last minute and I really enjoyed it! It is also quite shareable.
