Do you think that I am crazy for wanting to stay at pop with me, DH, DS8, dd5, and an infant? I have got some great tips from the boards about how to organize the room and we will be driving so we can keep stuff in the car. Do you think we will just be to crowded. I have us booked at a moderate right now but it is almost $600 more and I would like to save where I can.

I am assuming you will be bringing a pack and play? It is going to be tight even in a moderate, we have stayed at POR for the last 3 years and this year we are getting 2 rooms as there just isn't enough room.

Good luck.

Unfortunately you can't have 5 people in a room at Pop Century, even if one is an infant. The least expensive one you can stay at would be Port Orleans Riverside.

I guess it depends on your family and how you sleep and how much time you'll be in the room.
It does sound a bit crowded. Especially since they are only double beds, not queens, so if the infant wanted to sleep in your bed that would be a tight fit.

I was told that we could have 4 and an infant at pop by a cm. We booked at CSR and they also said that was fine. The baby will not be sleeping in our bed. I have never let my children do that and I am not about to start with this one. Are the beds in the moderates queen size? The baby is going to be 4 months old and I figured we still will not be in the room much since it will be so young it will sleep in the stoller during the day. I don't know I guess it is something to think about.

Not true. We stayed at POP with 5 (including an infant) and we were upfront about it and included him on the reservation so we didn't sneak around any rules. It is tight, but IMO if that's the only way you can afford to stay onsite than I would do it. The only thing I would suggest is to have a strategy for bedtime before you go. Maybe DH takes the other kids out while you get the baby to sleep. I've read where others say they take a chair and sit outside the room while baby falls asleep. Trust me, if you want to make it work you can.

You CAN stay at Pop w/ 5 including an infant, and they also have packnplay's there at Pop. If you really want to save the money, then I say go for it. We are a family of 4, and we stayed at the Pop for 1 week last April, and I do have to say that we will not be returning to Pop for that length is stay ever again. We love Pop, but not for a week, we found the rooms to be very cramped for us 4 (including a stroller, boys 2&3), and the beds were not as comfortable as we would've liked. We returned to the World this past December, and we stayed at POFQ, and we loved it! The rooms aren't that much bigger, but you can feel the difference.
Good Luck in your decision, whatever it is, I'm sure you'll have a magical trip!:)

i am sorry, I WAS WRONG! if the child is under 2, you can have 5 in the room....If you are only planning on sleeping in the room and not hanging out in there then you'll be fine! Worst case is that you could fold up the pack n play each day to give you more room. Are you nuts, no way! Do whatever is nessessary to stay onsite...it's worth it with kids.

have fun! we took a 4 month old once and he loved it!

You are not nuts, Well maybe you are but then I am too. We love pop but have only stayed there with the three of us. We however are planning to take our niece and her DS before he turns three and we will stay at pop. It can be crowded but we really spend so little time there and honestly we did not find the rooms THAT much smaller than even the deluxe hotels. I would think it would help to fold up the pack & play in the am. I am super organized in the room and try to stay as clutter free as possible. I use a shoe hanger over the back of the bathroom to stash all the bathroom stuff and that keeps the counter clear. The luggage shelf can be stacked high with stuff. BRing a few hangers and use that space to hang carry on bags, back packs etc. I put clothes in the drawers and take a cheap pop up laundry basket for dirty clothes. I have seen people at pop leave their strollers and coolers outside their doors but not sure I am that trusting. The beds at values and mods. are double which we do not care for but we found them comfortable.
