i took 4 aspirin about 20 minutes ago, but i forgot i took them and just took 4 more! am i going to die? do i need to go to the hospital? should i make myself sick? drink water?

Call your doc or poison control and they will tell you. Make sure you know the miligrams of the tablets. I know that if you take too much Tylenol you can get very ill, but I am not sure about aspirin. Good luck!

You're going to die but I'm guessing it won't be for several years. I think taking 8 aspirin might hurt your tummy but I don't think you are in any danger of death.

Your ears may start to ring like crazy - and you may get sick to your stomach - but I'd call someone just to be safe..

And here's a hint for the future: I have to take several kinds of medications when I'm having a severe migraine, so I take a small sheet of paper and write down what I take and when.. When you have a severe migraine (or any other kind of pain for that matter) it's VERY easy to forget that you already took a pill..

C.Ann, that is a great tip, I know that I have had such bad migraines I couldn't remember if I took my meds. One time it was so bad Jim found me in the bathroom crying because I couldn't even remember which toothbrush was mine!!! That was the worst one though.

As Hawke mentioned, I'm doing well. I took 4 Midol tablets, forgot i took them and then took more. When i realized what i had done i started this thread and called my doctor. she told me that i would be ok (for my weight and stuff) and to try to make myself sick and call her and if i couldn't make myself sick to get to the hospital. so i made myself sick and a few hours later i was ok. i slept a lot but now i'm ok!
