brunch is a completely different experience from dinner. But if you have to decide on only one I'd keep the brunch and cancel the dinner unless fireworks are your main reason for going to dinner.

You can come back for fireworks if you have the brunch. I would definitely do brunch and if the dinner menu appeals to you then do both. I don’t think it is overkill. Seeing MK at day and night are completely different experiences.
