Which restaurants are involved with the Fantasmic dinner package? If I remember correctly it is Hollywood and Vine, Brown Derby (which takes two TS credits) and Mama Melrose's. If this is correct, which do you recommend? I've never eaten at any of these. We tend to always go to 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi. Thanks!!!

There is a fixed price for Mama's ($32.99) and H&V ($26.99 plus beverage), but you can order on the regular menu at Brown Derby. Personally, I like BD best. I don't care at all for H&V so Mama's would be a second choice. BD is a little more "upscale." I'd check out the menus and see which appeals to you more.

Brown Derby is the best restaurant of the bunch, but it's expensive and upscale. I have enjoyed my meals at Mama Melrose's, despite consistently mediocre reviews on these boards. It's nothing special, but it's a solid option for pre-Fantasmic! dining. I recommend avoiding Hollywood & Vine. It may be the worst buffet on property.

When I made reservations just last week for an upcoming trip this fall, the CM stated a fixed price for Brown Derby as well. It has been given in previous threads here too. Anyone out there have any first hand experience recently with the Brown Derby Fantasmic Package?? Two TS credits, yes, but what about OOP and what was included with the price?

Hmmm...I didn't realize this. I was just going by the allears.net site (which I know isn't always updated.) It said they went to a la carte in June 2009. When we did the package (WAYYYY back in 2007 ) it was the most expensive (almost $50) of the three, but included 3 courses- soup/salad/or app, entree, and dessert. You weren't limited on your choices from the menu.

Mama Melrose's was decent, but not great. We ended up we couldn't get the Fantasmic package because there were none left, but some super nice, random guy on the street later flagged us down and asked us if we had a Fantasmic certificate, which we didn't. They had already went the night before, so he gave it to us!! Seats were spectacular!

We did BD in Nov for the package and it was fixed price at $52.99, but you got any appy, entree, and dessert off the menu for that price. It keeps peorple from going in, only having a appy or dessert, and getting the fantasmic seating.
