Am I Cheaping Out??

We're having an escape wedding at Seabreeze Point at 2:30pm in February. I'm thinking of not getting any sort of floral for the location. Do you think the beauty of the location is enough? I don't really want to spend the $$ on the swag for the arch for a grand total of 30 minutes, if that, lol. What do you think?

DF and I are very laid-back, casual people. This is part of the reason we're having an escape wedding. I'm obviously not a detail nazi and I'm very relaxed about the whole wedding planning process. I guess that I'm just looking for some feedback from past brides on the the overall look of the location...

I don't think you're being cheap at all. We did ours at the Yacht Club Gazebo and we didn't bother with any additional floral other then the unity candle arrangement. We just felt there were other things to spend our money on like the dessert party and reception that made for a more enjoyable day.

I think the beauty of disney weddings is that each of the locations are nice enough that they don't require all kinds of extra decoration.

Not at all!! We got married at YCG and we only had minimal floral for our custom wedding! Both locations are beautiful as it is so i did not think we would need it!

IMO people are more looking at the gorgeous surroundings and the ceremony to notice if there if there is lots of floral around!

My DH and I were all about the location and no extras! We wanted something very casual and SBP is just gorgeous (IMO) without any extras. There was just something wonderful about the simplicity of it all...

Since we are talking about extra floral, I was wondering if I could use the rose petals there. I was thinking about a sprinkling of rose petals as the only extra "floral" for our November 08 VR. And if so, can I provide myown or is that a Disney floral must?

I think you can provide your own, however Disney was actually pretty reasonable when it came to the petals. At first Rose wasn't for it at all, saying they would blow away, but I insisted. I think it was only $60 for the petals and they took care of scattering them for me.

I also had ribbon swags, but it was only because I actually came in under the minimums so it was either spend the extra on something or pay the money anyway.

Here's SBP with my decorations. I think it's very beautiful all on it's own and doesn't need anything extra, but it also looks pretty dressed up a little.:

That's exactly what I had in mind! I think SBP is just gorgeous on it's own but with the added touch of color, it will be perfect!

The colors you had Ember are the colors I am hoping for. Shades of pinks and ivory.

Thanks for all the feedback ladies! Also Ember, thanks for the pics. The location looks beautiful with the extra splashes of color! But I can also tell that it would be just wonderful for me without! It's good to see "real" pictures rather than "stock" pictures! Thanks again!

Ember - thanks for the posted pics of Sea Breeze Point! We are getting married there and it is nice to see some pictures other than the ones on the Disney website. Your wedding was beautiful!
