My DH and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary with this trip. Right now, our DD (2.5) is booked with us, but I'm leaning towards letting her stay with Grandma & Papa for the week...

Count us in...I just booked yesterday for DBoyfriend26 and myself25. This is our first 7 Day and we are very excited. We have previously sailed on a 4Day and loved it!!

super we can not wait only 8 months there are 5 in my family staying on deck 8 this is our first 7 night as well we loved the 4 night so much we had to do better.

Count me in, too. It will be me, DH, DS 11, DD 9, DS 3, our newest arrival 9 months old by then and my in-laws. We went on the Disney Wonder on 9/11/05, and had a great time. Disney really knows how to do things right. I can't wait!

so Jeanette, how was sailing in September? I have visions of being trapped in an airport & not being able to get to the ship...

My parents went on the Magic this same week in 2002. They had no movement problems whatsoever. I shared with them how choppy our week on the Empress of the Seas was and my dad said, "never happened to me." He mentioned that the weather is great, and he usually plans his cruises around this time to save the extra money.

As long as there isn't a landfalling hurricane on the east coast of Florida on September 9th, we should all be okay.

Looking forward to our first Disney cruise!

It wasn't bad sailing in September at all. The week we went there weren't any problems with hurricanes. I guess we were just lucky since the following week there were some issues. I don't think it's a problem once you're on the ship, but I guess if a storm is coming through on the day of departure they change ports. I am having good thoughts for all of us and since I live in Florida I'll keep a close eye on those storms.

Jeanette

Okay Jeanette, we'll count on you Floridians to keep us abreast of weather worries.

I want to take a 3 question poll:
How many people would like to have a small "disboard" magnet for your door (so others of us can drop you little notes when we happen across your room)?

How many would like to have a "BB Button" Identifying you as a bulletin board (BB) member? You wear the button and if you run into someone else with the button, you know you've found a cyber friend.

Do we want to plan a location to meet up on the first day?

"Kum bah yah, my Lord, kum bah ..." Okay, I'll stop singing the campfire songs ... :rolleyes1

I just realized that your newest family member must have arrives a short time ago. Congratulations. Care to share? Boy or Girl? Name? Other details?

1) Love magnets on the door - we always do a door sign of some sort. Notes might be problematic, but if you want to - more power to you.

2) Not likely to wear buttons - I like the idea of being able to recognize our cyber-friends, I just know that I won't wear one. The last DIS group that we cruised with made lime green shirts up with a pirate logo & the sail dates.

3) Sailaway Party Meet? I'm so there. Deck 10 aft is cool to blow bubbles off of, or deck 10 mid-ship overlooks the Sailaway party. Either way, I'm good.

Is it September yet?

I like the shirt idea -- it would be fun to then use it as an autograph shirt. Hmm! Baseball caps could work, too ... but then I'd have to give up my Minnie 'n Me 50 years golden ears!

We enjoy overlooking the sailaway party, hadn't thought of blowing bubbles off the aft deck.

I guess the new jumbo-tron will make a big difference in the sailaway party -- or rather a big difference for those of us who really like deck 10.

September never seemed so far away nor so enticing! (Start of the school year, y'know).

We will be sailing with a 10 year old girl and a 6 year old girl who've never been on the cruise. Do any of you have kids about the same age that would like to correspond and help build the excitment? There is also a thread started by a 12 year old who'd like to chat with others, but she's not on our cruise. Find her thread here:

Our daughter will be 6 when we cruise. She is the typical Disney princess wannabe. It will be our first cruise as a whole family. My wife and I went on RCI by ourselves, but we couldn't very well take a DCL by ourselves.

We just booked! This will be our 1st western but our 2nd 7 day and our 7th DCL cruise. We are:
:drinking1 :drinking1 Myself & DW
pirate: DS 13
 DS 11
princess: DD 8

Deck 10 midship is a great place for a meet but has to be at the early part of the sailaway so DW can drag me out on the dance floor for some of the party! We're booked into 2 cat 9s but on our last cruise (4 day over Haloween 2005) we were able to upgrade at the port from 2 9's to a cat 3 suite!

Welcome Aboard, tstobb. I can't wait to meet all of you. I'm ready for September - NOW! :Pinkbounc

Thank you, Heyentah. We had a beautiful baby boy on 01/06/06 at 12:09 a.m. I haven't been online much since I've been so very busy, but I sure can't wait for our cruise. I have four children, now. My son will be 11 next month, daughter 9, son 2 1/2 and newest addition 3 weeks. I know my daughter would love to correspond with someone about the cruise. She went with us last Sept. on the Wonder and had an awesome time. My sons loved it, too. I know they would love to share some of their experiences. My kids have an email account if you would like to do it that way.

Jeanette

Congratulations, Jeanette. I'm amazed you're on-line again so soon. We only have 1 DD (2 1/2, and not coming with us), but I don't think I was coherent until 5 or 6 weeks after she was born. And you've done this 4 times! My hat is off to you :hmghost:

Thanks, Sarangel. I'm amazing myself. I really don't get on much, but I try to at least check email a couple of times a day. Guess it gets easier with it being the fourth.

Jeanette
