After all the stress of fop I am quickly losing interest I well get fop for the rest of my party who wants to ride but for me I would rather use my fp for the pandora river ride

To each his or her own. Some people love FOP, some love NRJ, some love both, some love neither. That's the great thing about Disney - just do what works best for you and your group.

If you can get FOP I wouldn't not go. It is an experience and probably one of the best and this from someone that gets motion sickness on motion rides!

You're not an oddball. That's why they have two rides, so people can pick

I didn't even go to over to see Pandora on our last trip. I am just not interested in it and definitely didn't want to battle the crowds for it. Maybe next year.

My money would be on the River Ride.....I just didn't like FOP and can't really understand the hype. It was interesting to do it, but one and done is my feeling about it. Loved the Na'Vi River Journey though!!!!!!

I have till December to consider it but I wish I had the thread in my backpocket that talked about being pushed off cliffs and mountains

I have zero interest in FOP.

What I think your problem is is that you hyped it up so much when your trip isn't until February so now you're coming down from the hyped stage.
Get a FP+ for it if you can and if not wait in the line and go on.
If you don't you'll likely regret it later.
If you don't like it well then you know for a future trip that its not worth going on for you.

I think you should experience as much as you can at least once then make up your mind after that. I've done FOP twice, both times because my son loved it. I'll be there next week solo and won't do it this trip. It just wasn't all that for me, the glasses were waaaaaay too big for my head so I had to hold them the entire ride, I got a little queasy, not really sick but just a little off (Soarin does not do that to me, it was less than Star Tours though). Leaning up against the front caused my reflux to act up. Just an uncomfortable ride for me, it was pretty and a nice experience, just not one I need to do again unless my son is with me.

Oh man, in my opinion you're missing out. It's the best ride in all of Disney. Again, just my opinion :)

If it was the best ride it would be at magic kingdom. Because we all know the best rides are at Magic Kingdom. That's why it doubled the attendance of the other parks.

I also agree that it is the best ride at WDW. But, I also really liked Navi River Journey even though a lot of people have been disappointed in it.

I actually don't think it's the best ride at WDW (or in Orlando). :confused3 I also always find it funny when people that have previously slammed Universal for using motion simulators fawn over FOP  Do what makes you happy OP. If you want to do NRJ, do NRJ. There's no right or wrong, it's your trip and your choices.

The first morning we were in Pandora, the absolutely hilarious, awesome CM directing guests pointed to the FOP line and said "this way for the good ride" and then pointing to the NRJ said "that way for the other ride."

My sentiments exactly.

What's interesting is that I didn't get motion sickness in FOP (and I don't get motion sickness on Soarin either), but the motion simulator rides at Universal just kill me. I like HP land for the amazing theming, but at least for those of us that experience motion sickness, there is a difference in the motion simulator rides.

I didn't go on it, but the members of my party who did weren't bumping it up to the best ride in Orlando either. I agree that it seems like a very "Universal-ish" ride

Speaking of Universal, I also wonder if FOP was over at Universal, how many Disney fans would go over to ride it?
