Always Let Your (Preschooler) Be Your Guide. My First Trip Report! COMPLETE

I love Maddie's new wardrobe options! We have the Mickey ipod shirt too, it was in with Adison's (dd) valentine gifts :lovestruc And don't you feel ashamed of all the buying you do, you have one child and it's your right to get her everything she desires! I know I do the same, which is why I have at least 14 separate new outfits for our 9 day/8night trip in May (and that's not including the dress that she'll acquire at BBB, nor any of the outfits she has already worn). :scared1:

Oh my, you hit the jackpot! There is nothing like shopping for a little girl...it's still as exciting when they grown up too, cause everything they put on looks adorable on them! I love the way you're going to reveal the trip:thumbsup2

Ok, I'm a bit guilty of overdoing things for Kadence, but I do know how to get around my DH!:lmao: I usually get him to suggest things! You know, after I put ideas out there, in the universe.....:rolleyes1

I LOVE THE RAPUNZEL DRESS!:lovestruc Maddie's going to look so adorable in it!

I think you know her best, and if you think she would love it help pack, I think that's the way to go on telling her the surprise! Some kids freak, and not in a good way. Kadence just wanted to get a stuffed animal to bring and she was out the door!:lmao:

I am so admiring your outfits for Maddie! I am not much of a clothes person myself, but for Kadence I want just the right look, she loves all the outfits too. She wants the skirts! I Target has so nice things!

Your idea on how to surprise her is awesome. I love the stuff she is getting. Girls stuff is so much cuter than boys stuff. Maddie will be happy. When Xander was my only kid, we used to buy him a lot too. I get the only child thing. It is okay if you want to spoil her a little in my opinion.

Thank you! I think that it'll be a really fun surprise. I agree that girl stuff is much cuter, boys probably don't much care what they're wearing ? She is a little spoiled, but she's not a brat (yet), as soon as she becomes a brat, no more spoiling ;)

Heck yes!! I'm excited!!

I'm really excited about this trip. Have you ever stayed at CBR? It's to be our first stay there, and I'm really looking forward to exploring the resort :thumbsup2

my dd would love the rapunzel dress but we can't afford it! (well we could, but dh would be so mad!) she loves playing that she is getting married.

If she loves playing wedding, I made Maddie a wedding dress really inexpensively that she loves to play in. It only cost about $10 to make, maybe you could look into that!:thumbsup2

Love all the clothes, and the princess dress, and the dolls, but my favorite are the sunglasses. Very pretty! princess:

Thank You! Aren't those sunglasses great? Ariel has been Maddie's favorite princess since last trip when she chose her dress at the BBB. In a few years, this will be you buying all of the sparkly and girly things. So excited for you!

:lmao::lmao: I'm a little nervous about how much we'll end up packing! I'm the same as you, those are just the new shirts :scared1: We have many, many other outfits in the closet that would be perfect for Disney!

I do love spoiling her, especially with clothes because she loves to be dressed up all cute and girly :lovestruc

Woohoo on being excited about your upcoming trip!!

Love the surprise idea and the outfits :goodvibes

Thank you! I hope the surprise will work out like we hope! :woohoo:

I may have gone a little over-board but it's so easy to buy her things! I'll bet you have lots of fun shopping for Jasmine-she'd look great in anything! Maddie will be so excited, I hope that she doesn't catch on before then

Ok, I'm a bit guilty of overdoing things for Kadence, but I do know how to get around my DH!:lmao: I usually get him to suggest things! You know, after I put ideas out there, in the universe.....:rolleyes1

:rotfl2:DH loves to weigh in on what I buy, but knows that I'm going to buy what I want anyway :rotfl2:

I think that Maddie will really want to help pack, deciding what outfits to take is a big part of vacation to her.

Thanks to you and Kadence! I've had fun gathering all of the shirts. Tell Kadence that I also got an I heart Perry shirt that I forgot to post a pic of. It's really cute! If she likes the skirts, get yourself to Target! That's where most of them came from-the rest are Children's Place. Our Target has a bunch of them out right now. I remember seeing red, pink, purple, and black. :thumbsup2

I just got super excited as I officially booked it last night! And Tyler from Sept will be joining us too! I've never stayed there, just Pop & the Poly (2 opposite ends of the spectrum!) so I'm pumped to stay at a Mod and see what CBR's all about!

Thank You! Aren't those sunglasses great? Ariel has been Maddie's favorite princess since last trip when she chose her dress at the BBB. In a few years, this will be you buying all of the sparkly and girly things. So excited for you!

I love those sunglasses so much, I'd take one pair for myself. :cutie:

I cannot wait to buy all those cute and sparkly outfit for my little Peanut!! princess:

Thanks for posting the outfits you picked up at Target!!! Me and 2 friends just bought them, too! So cute and reasonable. . .that NEVER happens! I love coral dress, but did not have my DD's size. I LOVE Target. . .who would of thought I could buy Disney outfits there:banana::banana:

P.S. We only have one daughter and I often remind her how lucky she is because if we had several children we could not do/buy all of the things we do. Sad replacement for siblings, but it helps perk her up when she's bummed about be an "only".

My sister's daughters are the same way. Spoiled but not brats. I am all for spoiling when you can do it, because you never know when you will not be able to do it anymore. Maddie is a lucky girl.

Hi! I just spent the last few days reading your TR! It was great! Maddy is adorable and it sounds like you had a magical trip! I love all her Girly clothes for your next trip as well!

I'm here for the PTR portion! I am slowly getting caught up on all the different TRs that I am subbed to. I am loving all of the clothing posts because it gives me some ideas. My little girl loves her skirts and I can't believe how I have missed so many of those?! Especially because I seem to be single handedly keeping my local Target in business.

That Rapunzel dress looks sooooo pretty! I am impressed that you can keep that a secret for so long! I wish I could, but I can't. Our little girl already screams and squeals whenever she sees a Disney world commerical that I would be bursting to tell her.

Target and I have a date on Thursday night! Thanks! Kadence is hoping for the I heart Perry shirt!

you made a bridal gown for your dd? wow. I'm guessing that requires a sewing machine! I'm a knitter, but I don't sew. too bad.

I love all of Maddie's new clothes! I bet she'll be so excited to pack for Disney. Target has really cute kids clothes. :goodvibes

I'll bet you're getting so excited! It's funny because I'm sooo not girly, but DD is all girl princess: She can't get enough of the pink and sparkly things!

Sure! I feel as though I may have mislead everyone a little bit though  I did get two of the shirts and all of the skirts at Target, but a couple of the shirts came from Disney Store. They were 2 for $20 so I stocked up.

We bought the corral dress and then had to return it because it was snagged in the back. Luckily they had one left in her size.

We asked Maddie recently if she'd like a brother or sister (we've been trying for a while). She said no, she has 2 dogs and that's enough. :rotfl:

My sister's daughters are the same way. Spoiled but not brats. I am all for spoiling when you can do it, because you never know when you will not be able to do it anymore. Maddie is a lucky girl.

Most of the time I think she's grateful for what she has. I grew up without much, so that's probably why I overdo it with her. :goodvibes

Hi! I just spent the last few days reading your TR! It was great! Maddy is adorable and it sounds like you had a magical trip! I love all her Girly clothes for your next trip as well!

Welcome! Thanks for joining in the fun! I appreciate your kind words, she's a great kid.

Yay!!! Glad to have you! 1/2 of the shirts are Target (big girls department for us now :sad2:) and the rest are Disney Store. The skirts are everywhere! Children's Place has a ton of them too. I should send you some-we have them in 2 or 3 sizes :rotfl2:

So glad that there's 2 of us. I thought that I was the one single handedly keeping Target in business. Is it normal to go there a couple of times a week?

We're hoping to keep the secret. Luckily she's 5 and doesn't pick up on much, because we talk to her all the time about what we'll do "if" we get to o back.

Target and I have a date on Thursday night! Thanks! Kadence is hoping for the I heart Perry shirt!

Oh gosh, I think I mislead you! The skirts are all Target, but the Perry shirt is from Disney Store :guilty: So sorry! Disney Store does have a free shipping code right now though, and I think the shirts are still 2 for $20

you made a bridal gown for your dd? wow. I'm guessing that requires a sewing machine! I'm a knitter, but I don't sew. too bad.

I did use a sewing machine :lmao: Too funny because it's been my goal for a few years to learn to knit. Too bad we can't teach each other!

I love all of Maddie's new clothes! I bet she'll be so excited to pack for Disney. Target has really cute kids clothes. :goodvibes

Thanks!! She'll be over the moon to choose her outfits. I love Target for kids. I shop almost exclusively there, Old Navy, and Children's Place for her. Cheap and cute--love them!

Haha, well, it's normal for me to go to Target a few times a week. Although I have cut down a bit since my hubby frowns on the admission fee to Target. :rolleyes1

Um, we will gladly take any extra skirts off your hands! Send them on over!! Good luck prying them out of her closet. We love skirts in our household, especially her pink ones. Speaking of which, her current fave is from Target and I was thinking of going back to see if they had it in another color........

What an adorable TR; thanks for sharing! I hope everything works out for your upcoming trip and can't wait to hear how the surprise goes. :)

Ok first off, I just have to say that I'm excited for the PTR, secondly, I'm loving the new clothes for Maddie! Those skirts are too cute, I wish they made them in adult size!! :rotfl: The Rapunzel dress is totally adorable as well!! Love it!!

Off the the Disney site! Thanks!

* Ok, I went online and got her the I heart Perry shirt and then let DH pick out the other one so I could get 2 for 20. He picked the muppets shirt. (it looks like litle buttons with thier picture all over it.) He and Kadence are really into muppets right now.

Next...Target on Thursday : )

Hey there! Just spent awhile reading your TR! Great job!!!

We are going to be at WDW Apr 28th-May 5th...the first night at Beach Club because my DD4 keeps saying she wants to go to the beach, then the rest of the time at our home resort Bay Lake Tower.

We haven't told the girls about the trip yet. Did you do the big reveal to your DD yet? we can't decide how we want to do it! DH wants to wait till we're going to the airport.... I'd like to do it on Thursday after school because I think DD8 would like to tell her friends on Friday that she'll be gone all week. Still gotta figure that all out!

I do have to say, you are troopers for waiting through all that character greeting time!! Where is the fairies greeting at? I don't think it was there the last time we were. We are hoping to NOT do a lot of character greetings..we've gotten spoiled by the ease of character greetings on the Disney Cruises that we hate to mess with them at the park. We did see Tink on the Dream last year.... but you do have a few characters on here we have yet to meet anywhere so may have to try a few (Monsters, Rapunzel, Prince Eric). We are doing Chef mickey's (we always do) and 1900 Park Fare (though, I didn't mind the food last time) for our character meals!

Great reading up on your trip! 60 days out and I'm getting a little excited :)

where are you guys moving to?
