Hi all!
We just stayed 4 nights at the OKW and 4 nights at the YC. Word to the wise, when you book at a discounted rate make sure you keep that reservation in hand until the day you check out.
When we arrived at the OKW I asked the CM to make sure we were booked at the $189 rate and she said yes we were, what a great price. I said yeah, we got the 40% off postcard in Dec and had the reservation booked for a while. When we checked out the bill said $370 a night. Well, I threw away my reservation after check in, they had no record of the discounted rate and basically flat out called me a liar, that OKW would never discount that much. I called the reservation line and they said once you are checked in to a resort they can no longer access your reservation. I called Guest Relations who finally found my reservation and credited back my account, she was a very nasty person too. When we went back down to the check in/out area the manager apologized and said he was so sorry for the error.
I liked OKW but no way would I stay there at $370 a night, it was just like staying at the CBR or POR and those rates are a lot cheaper!
Also, if you valet your car PLEASE make sure to walk the car from head to toe when you arrive and depart, make a note of the mileage and what not. We valet the car at the YC and for 4 days did not move it. When we picked up the car there was a humongous dent on the drive door with blue paint scratches and the passenger seat was adjusted, why would that do that??? All the mirrors were adjusted too...just plain weird. After a very heated arguement with the manager they agreed to pay for the damage, DH refused to leave until they took care of it.
