After reading through the menu I found that the California Grill brunch would be perfect for us! However, a reservation has proven elusive for the one Sunday of our trip (Oct 21st). I will of course check for last minute cancellations, but I'd like to have an alternate breakfast/brunch reservation set up! We're a couple in our 30's traveling for our anniversary (1st Disney trip together)

I currently have the following set up for Sunday:
9:45 Tusker House
10:30-11:30 Kilimanjaro Safari
11:50-12:50 Expedition Everest
5:45-6:45 FoP

Ideally I'd prefer to eat a little bit later so we could have some "lunch foods" too (and we like to sleep in a little on vacation). I had booked a morning FP+ for the Safari because I heard that was better to see the safari earlier in the day. We are not "open to close" types and the idea was to stay until park close to experience Pandora in the evening and see RoL. If I have to choose between Cali grill and the safari I think I would pick Cali grill though!

My main alternate is to try for Boma (originally had thought about dinner there). Or are there other breakfast/brunches available on Saturdays? Right now our earliest obligation on Sat is SDMT at 4:20 (plan is to spend the evening at MK) which would give us plenty of time to have brunch basically anywhere!

Homecomin' recently expanded their brunch to Saturday.

The Rise ’n Shine Brunch

Where are you staying? Grand Floridian Cafe has a combined breakfast and lunch menu which has some similar offerings that are on the California Grill brunch menu. We’ve enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at GFC.

Forgot to mention that! We're staying at the Swan.

I have homecomin brunch booked for the sunday when I will be there.. but I've heard wonderful things about GF Cafe.. I even recently posted about it and had lots of raves... so how about on Saturday you do a late brunch there... maybe around 1.. then go right to Magic kingdom from there. That will give you plenty of time to digest before SDMT at 4! Check the menu and see how it sounds.. lobster benedict.. thermidor burger.. pancakes.. yummmmmm

You could Uber over to the Four Seasons; they offer a nice Sunday brunch as well. It includes an appetizer buffet, choice of entree, dessert buffet, and bottomless mimosas and bloody mary's.

Or sign up from Touring Plans; they text you if they find an opening (not sure how they do that, but it does work).
