I have very picky kids and ADRs at a few places that I am scratching my head wondering what they will eat.

DS loves chicken nuggests and if I can get those, he is happy.....

Are there "alternative options" for children?

Like at LTT or Ohana's or Askershus?

Thanks!

Well, I wouldn't worry too much about LTT, the food is very regular stuff like meat, veggies, and mac and cheese. Of course, some folks hate the mac and cheese there, complain about the meat, some kids won't touch ANY veggies, ect. I have a vegetarian and have been told we can request a veggie meal at O'Hana, but it is a tofu thing so I doubt your kid would eat that! I think if my kids were that picky I would stick with places where you can order off a menu (like chicken fingers and such) or buffets that have a "kid" section, like at Crystal Palace. Good luck, anyone else have any suggestions?? I have no idea if you can request kid food at any TS place, but maybe you can.

i think there are chicken nuggets on most every buffet. the family style meal places like o'hana and akershus is set fare. (my kids weren't thrilled with o'hana. they picked at the meat but didn't eat much)

Akershus...no. My kids didn't eat a bite there. My DD3 did steal my cup of potato leak soup right off my plate since she wouldn't touch the turkey roll up we ordered for her.

Ohana shares a kitchen with Kona (or so it's been said here) and you can order an alternative children's meal from Kona...which does have chicken nuggets on their menu. However, my kids both loved Ohana when we were there. It's really good food and they tried and loved all the food there.

Sometimes I don't mind the kid's menu being a little adventurous. There isn't anything wrong with trying to get your kids to "step outside their box". Typically mine will try and like nearly everything that I get for them *especially* if they are hungry.

We ate at 'Ohana and Akershus in July.

The kids got grilled cheese and chicken fingers at 'Ohana, which as others have noted, is just the Kona menu brought over. For dessert, the server brought their ice cream in separate bowls so they wouldn't have to eat the bread pudding DH and I devoured (and loved).

At Akershus, on the cold buffet, the kids enjoyed the bread a lot (there are several choices there). But their entrees were totally and completely "normal" kids' meals. Two of mine had pizza (it was quite good) and the other had pasta (we got the sauce on the side for him). All three ate so much chocolate mousse cake dessert that we had to ask for seconds.

My 3 kids are all picky, and one in a non-vegetable eating vegetarian :confused3 but they enjoyed both the food and atmosphere at both places. I really and honestly would not worry about either of these places catering to your kids because both are full of them.

I've posted this a few times recently... seems to be a popular topic. Besides all the places that do offer what you're looking for specifically (chicken nuggest):

Le Cellier offers a 6oz Grilled Steak for children. Coral Reef offers children a grilled chicken breast (not nuggets). Chefs de France offers a fried fish plate for children. Rose and Crown has cottage pie, bangers and mash, fish and chips, and grilled chicken on their child menu. Teppanyaki offers a small stir fry with either chicken or shrimp. Nine Dragons offers sweet and sour chicken. San Angel Inn offers children either a burrito or an enchilada. Marrakesh offers couscous. Spoodles offers Grilled Strip Steak and Grilled Chicken. Flying fish offers fish and chips, grilled steak, chicken breast (again, not nuggets).

I'm pretty thoroughly shocked to see so many choices available for children. Choose your restaurants wisely, and your child will be more than pleased.
