Wondering if any one knows of a better way to drive to WDW rather then taking 95 to I-4? Gota believe there is another way to drive in from North of the Jacksonville area rather then taking I-4 from the Daytona area.

If you are coming from the coastal states and going thru Jacksonville, then no there is not a better way than I95 to I4.

The I10 to I75 route is better for those coming from the west.

There was some discussion in another thread about Hwy 301/I-75/Florida Turnpike as an alternate route from Jacksonville to WDW:

I hate I-95/I-4, so 301/I75/Turnpike is now the route I take and I have been quite pleased with it, but as you will see in the above thread, another poster found it totally unacceptable. So, as always "your mileage may vary".

In general, I think if you don't hit rush hour in Jax or Orlando, and you don't hit any major accident or construction-induced traffic backups on I95 or I4, then the I95/I4 route has to be the quickest (and for most folks easiest) choice. However, since I always seemed to hit one of those backups or a rush hour, and since I'm the type that often prefers "back roads" to interstates, I'll be happily driving 301/I75/Turnpike again next month. :car:

Thanks for the info. Traveling over night, I guess 95 and 4 will be best. Just hate that I -4 . Will see how it is on th eway home, love a good back road every now and then.

If I-4 is very congested you can get off the road at Sanford onto TOLL 417 (Seminole Expressway / Central Florida Greeneway) which is the eastern beltway around Orlando. There are rarely delays on the 417. It circles around and merges back onto I-4 at Disney World. One way tolls though will cost you $5.00 versus free on I-4.
