I like traditional names, from obscure to commonly used. Italian? Hmm...how about: Aurelia, Cecilia, Eloisa, Ginevra, Silvia?

Had to comment on one of the name choices lol..my aunt was named Aurelia Jeana and to get even for "wrongs" she did to her other five sisters as kids they started calling her Aurelia the Gorillia...my other aunts STILL call her that though she normally goes by Jeana due to their torment lol...

I came close to naming one of our dd's Gabriella. I also like Elena. Our older dd is Andrea Maria. We're not Italian, but I love names that sound like you're singing them, pure poetry. Make sure the middle name flows with the first name. Sometimes there is such a disconnect, it makes my head hurt!

I have to throw my vote in for Angela! That's my daughter's name. She's in 8th grade. She's the only Angela in her grade and she likes it that way. (I can appreciate that as I am a 70's Jennifer, there are million of us) As a matter of fact, we have yet to come across another Angela around her age. A friend of ours has a daughter, Angelina,who is a couple years younger, and that is the only one who comes close.

I have also liked Amanda, tho not an Italian name.

I think its kind of funny that when I try to think of Italian names, I keep coming up with my "old aunts'' names....Antoinette, Agnes, Concetta, Carmella, Josephina, Assunta, PHILOMENA!!! Can't picture a little Baby Philomena these days..... LOL
