We tacked 5 days in Paris on at the end of our Alpine Magic adventure. This was on our own, but I figured I would post some of the photos as some Disney ABDs go to Paris and there have been some questions regarding Paris. Again, it is primarily photos with a brief description (not a comprehensive "Sayhello" type of trip report).

The view from our hotel. The good was the view. It felt like we could reach out and touch the Eiffel Tower. The bad--the AC didn't work in our room and it was about 90 degrees in Paris. We ended up staying in the room, keeping the door open at night and the hotel gave us 2 fans. We managed to stay cool at night.

Just a different view of the Tower from the base at night:

Love the architecture and the wrought iron balconies:

Sacre Couer and Montmartre:

Aiden sat for a black and white drawing. At one point we had about 12 people around us just watching the artist work. Not easy for a 7 year old to sit still for 45 minutes.

Rodin Museum:

This museum has a ton of recognizable and great sculptures. It seems as though this museum is often overlooked, however.

Hope you enjoy and feel inspired to travel and experience the world where ever it may take you (from your backyard to the far reaches of the globe).

Thanks for posting. We will be doing a trip to Paris in the fall (visiting friends, not an ABD) and I am really looking forward to it!

Very nice pictures. I especially like the one of the three thinkers! I got a lot of those type of pictures from Italy. They seem silly when you're taking them, but they sure are a lot of laughs when you look at them later.

Great photos RSM! Which hotel did you stay in? That is an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower, but what a bummer about the AC problem. Thanks so much for posting!

Great pictures! And with a view like that, I'd've probably kept the room, too! Glad you were able to cool it off at night at least!

Besides the Eiffel Tower ones (wow!) I particularly like the one of Sacre Couer in the distance. It kind of looks like it could be in Istanbul or something.

The London/Paris ABD is definitely high on my list of "to do's".

Again, it is primarily photos with a brief description (not a comprehensive "Sayhello" type of trip report).
!!!

:rotfl:

Sayhello

Sayhello, it was meant as a compliment on the thoroughness of your TRs ;)

Oh, I know! It was just kind of odd to see myself listed as a "type". :goodvibes I was really quite flattered!

Sayhello
