We do a lot of Sunday thru Thursday trips, but our next trip will be Sat to the following Sunday...

We rarely check in on any day but Saturday, Sunday and Thursday.

We have been arriving on either Wednesday or Thursday and staying 10/11 nights. It's probably not the best use of points - since we end up with 4 weekend nights and either 6 or 7 weekdays, but it sure makes for a nice stay! :)

Most of our trips are Sat check-in for a full week. One trip we added a couple of nights at VB at the end.

We always (so far) have arrived on Sunday and check out either Thursday (4 nights) or Friday (5 nights).

Like JimC, we live within easy driving distance, so we'd rather do two 4-5 day trips than one longer trip. To be honest, we're ready to head home after 4-5 days.

We don't see everything on short trips like that, but then we don't care to see everything. Because we were guiding some friends on their first-ever trip () in May, we did pretty much of a commando trip. We'll be more sensible and have more fun next trip.

I've been using my points from Sun-Fri.....so I "arrive" at my "points" vacation on Sun. But we usually come on Thurs....and stay somewhere else...ie..

Thurs-Sun...BWV studio...member cash rate
Sun-Fri....WLV...1BR.

all this is subject to change at any time;)

We usually vacation from Wednesday to Wednesday.

Airfare is cheaper and DH likes having a partial week at work before and after vacation. It is nicer than facing a full week of work right after vacation. He works 2 days, then has the weekend to catch up with grass cutting.

For our upcoming December trip, we are checking in on a Wednesday.

For upcoming trips, our general plan is to check in on Sundays, then stay for 6 nights. We will actually arrive in WDW on Saturday, but we'll probably use our Starwood Preferred Guest points to stay at the Dolphin for that night for free.

For the September trip it is usually Wed or Thurs depending on airfare and we stay 7-9 nights. At Christmas time we do the Sunday check in Friday checkout but have stayed offsite over the weekend to not use the high weekend points and then check back in on Sunday to Wed or Thursday.
