The pictures of Yosemite are beautiful. I hope your time in Tahoe is as relaxing and refreshing for you as possible. I am anxious to see those pictures - but only when you are ready. Enjoy the end of your vacation.

"The sad part is you have to take a bus from the parking lot in order to get anywhere in the park."

It's been awhile since I've been to Yosemite during the summer. One of the reasons why they started requiring you to take a bus is because they wanted to cut down on the amount of automobile traffic in the valley. In a lot of ways, Yosemite was/is suffering from its own beauty.

I chuckled when I saw your photo of what I think is Yosemite Falls. I have always visited the park in the summer or fall. I've never been there in the spring when the falls are in its full glory.

Couple of thoughts..

A) Ugliest bedspead ever.

B) How many times did the pianist play Colors of the Wind? I'm betting at least 20.

Haven't stayed there yet but thought the same thing about the bedspreads when I saw some pics. They defintely don't do with the earthy, yet clean and sharp theme of the resort!

Not a huge fan of that song, may have to avoid the lobby during piano palying time!

Great pictures!!! What kind of camera do you use? I've only been to DL once a looong time ago and hope to go back sometime soon. Yosemite looks beautiful! I think I will add it my list of places to go. Can't wait to see your Tahoe pics. Hope you are enjoying the rest of your vacation.

It's a Fujifilm FinePix S700 point and shoot camera. It was about $195 when I bought it new 4 years ago. California really is fabulous, I hope you have the opportunity to visit again!

Caliornia is to beautiful, so amazing and so filled with wonder. My vacation has finally come to an end and this will be my last set of photos - this trip has been amazing - both incredibly exciting and wonderfully relaxing. We head home late tomorrow. Here's my last photos from Lake Tahoe:

The Marriott Timber Lodge is located right next door to the"Hevenly Gondola" which takes you to an elevation of over 9,000 feet up the mountain:

But the views are every bit as wonderous and spectacular from sea level:

I certainly had fun with my first "kinda, sorta live" trip report. I'm delighted to share the happy memories it brought to some of my DISboard friends. Thank you for the delightful comments and support - I loved it!
