Almost 5 - stroller or no?

I would bring one, or look into renting one. Even if my daughter was normal, and could walk long distances I would look into it. She's 7 and has juvenile arthritis so it's a given for us.

Bring it! I am sure many people disagree with me. My thoughts are...if my son is in his stroller I don't have to worry about being two wide (holding hands) or worry where he is. We used our volo last year and loved it. Ds was 5. The year before we used a maclaren - not volo, but I forget which model. Liked it, but the volo was much more breathable material. Ds is 6 this year...and if he was small enough we would still be in the stroller. As it is, he is our 4 feet and 65 pounds, so sadly I think that is a little too much for me to push. I sure will miss our stroller days.

Absolutely. We are going in September. Dd will be 5.5. We are renting one from orlando strollers so we don't have to fly with it. She won't be in it all day , but will crash at night while we stroll around and enjoy Disney nightlife. At home we choose not to own a car. So we spend many hours and walk more miles a month than an average person will all year, but at Disney, she needs a stroller at points still.

I may keep having babies just to have the stroller to carry everything! But yes, absolutely bring it for a 5 year old. My oldest is 5, almost 6, and when we go in May we will bring a sit and stand for him and the baby. Every other trip until now, including 2 while he was 5, he had his own stroller. It kept him cool and rested, he could sit and have a snack or drink while we moved, I always knew where he was, I could store all my gear, he didn't get a sunburn, it saved us from many meltdowns.l.I could go on and on. Worst case, you bring it and leave it in the room, but it comes in so handy on the long stretches, and then you can park it and walk around each smaller area before going back to get it.

If I could put DH in a stroller to cut down on his whining, I would do that too.

We are going for a week in June and my 3rd child is 4 (January birthday). She is also small for her age (30lbs and 38"). We are bringing a stroller for our youngest (he'll be 6 months at the time of our trip) and I suspect he will be in the Moby Wrap far more than the stroller, so if it is empty and the 4yo wants to sit, fine with me.

If we didn't have a 6month old though, we'd leave it home. We last did wdw in July 2012 and we had a stroller then (she was 2.5yo), but we left it in the room/car many days, but then we didn't do full park days, so different story. We have done Disneyland with her at 2.75 and 3.75 and we did use it at 2, not at 3. But smaller park, so that is a consideration too.

My niece is coming too, she turns 5yo on wednesday. Opposite size from her cousin, about 45" and 55lbs. She will not have a stroller.

My 4/5 years olds have never had the option of riding in a stroller since there has always been two others younger than them in the double and NO way we'd take another stroller along. I personally hate bringing a stroller and will probably stop bringing them once the youngest turns 4. Our park days are usually 8-12 hrs long (we even did one 15+ hr day on our last trip) and we've never had a problem. And trust me when I say that my kids can whine and complain as good as the next kid (as a matter of fact, #4 was complaining about walking around Target the other day  ), but it just doesn't bother them at WDW.

YES! This is good advice. The mac fits through the x-ray machine at airport security, is super-light-weight, and takes up very little room. So easy to deal with, even in a crowd.

Yes - we turned in our jogging stroller for a nice light-weight double that folds compact (great Black Friday deal). Made the mistake one year bringing the jogging one and our backs paid for it!
