Hi there!
We'll be visiting Disneyland in late October again for my birthday. DD loved the characters last year(I was very suprised!) so I'm really looking forward to our trip this year. Anyway, we want to do either Goofy's Kitchen for dinner or Mickey's Trick or Treat party. Which would you do with a character loving, almost 3 year old? yes we will continue to visit in October so its not like this is our only chance to do the trick or treat party.....
All thoughts, opinions and experiences are very much appreciated!
Thank you

We were there in early Oct. 2007 and attended the Halloween Party with our two girls, ages 3.5 and 7.5. The party was held at DCA, I'm not sure if it still is or not. The thing I remember most about the party was the trick or treat stations: our girls got a lot of candy! I also remember them posing for pics with some of the princesses that were stationed at a photo op location. Since the party wasn't very busy at all, I can remember us being able to ride rides with little or not wait, but not everything was open. It was fun, and I would do it again, but it certainly was not an over the top experience.

If your child loves characters, I would do Goofy's Kitchen where there is 1:1 character interaction.

What I LOVED about being at DL in October were all of the Halloween decorations: jack-o-lanterns in every window, big ones set up near the Walt statue, the darling decorations on the lamp posts on Main Street and the huge jack-o-lantern on Main Street where you can pose for pics. I think the decorations are not to be missed! So, what I'm saying, is you will certainly get to experience a true Halloween feeling and take precious pics of your little one along the way, even if you don't attend the party.:thumbsup2

Whatever you decide, you're going to have a blast!!

I vote that you and your little one both dress up and go to the party!!:cool1:It is soooo fun and you both will see lots of characters, receive lots and lots of candy, hear fun music , go on rides, it is a blast! Thats my vote!

We really enjoyed the trick or treat party too... very short lines (walk on) and lots of characters you don't normally see (Cinderella's step mother and step-sisters, the hag from Snow White, the beast...)

It was a very fun night, and you don't have to just get candy, we also got dried apple snacks and baby carrots!

Thanks everyone! I'm not 100% decided yet but am thinking we'll go with Goofy's kitchen....
