What's the best way I can get from All*Star sports to Contemporary for Chef Mickey's breakfast, at 8am? I was think bus to MK(are they running at 7:30, so I can get there ontime?), then monorail, but it seems like too much work, maybe something simplier? I could take my rental car, would that be the best way?

Any other ideas?

We were at All Sports two weeks ago and found the bus transportation to be the worst we've experienced in six Disney trips. I would definitely take your rental car. You could park in the TTC lot, so you could go on to whatever park you have planned for that day after your breakfast.

On Thursday of our week, we arrived at the bus stop at 7:45 on emh morning and the bus didn't get there until 8:25! We got on that bus, but there were at least two more busloads of people waiting. And by the time we got through security, emh was pretty much over. The people behind us had a breakfast ps and were very worried they were not going to get there. Since emh is an on-site perk, I think it is unexcusable for buses to not be frequent to that park in the early a.m.

The easiest way would be the rental car. It's a very quick drive. If you exit All Stars, you will be on Buena Vista Drive-then either just follow the signs for MK-or turn left onto Bonnet Creek(at OKW) and take a left at the end and go in the back way past Fort Wilderness-just make sure you have your parking pass in the window and they will let you through the gate. When you get to the end of that road-you have to go right and you'll be aimed right at the Contemporary.Hope this helps.

Not sure if they are still doing this, but as of last August they had a character breakfast bus. It would leave the All Stars around 7:30(check for time at your resort desk) and go to the Poly, Contemporary and MK for people who had character breakfasts at any of those places. There was also one going to AK for people with early PSs at Donalds.

The people behind us at All Stars who were worried about their breakfast said there was no longer a character breakfast bus. I don't know for sure, of course, if that is true. We used it last year to go from yc to gf, and it was great -- like having a taxi since our family was the only riders.

We had trouble getting to Boma from the Allstars one morning. All of the buses were few and far between that early so we ended up taking a taxi. I would definitely drive if it were me.

I vote car as well. Buses are spotty at AS. We went out for EE at a little before 8 and we got to the park at TADA 9AM

I'm sorry to hear about the long wait for a bus at AS Sports. We never had to wait long for a bus last May but then again we didn't need a bus until about 8 a.m. I agree to take your rental car to the Contemp. We use Disney transportation most of the time but we usually do use our car if we have a p.s. for a meal at one of the resorts. It's just peace of mind that you know you'll get there on time.

We'll be leaving All-Star's for Chef Mickey's on our last morning. After breakfast will be be heading out of town in our van. So it sounds like we should drive to the TTC. Is there any place in particular we should park to be closest to Contemporary to get there fast?

Will our parking pass still be valid on our departure date?

And regarding bus service, we've stayed at ASMu 4 times and have never had any problems with the service. Matter of fact, we've always considered it a plus to staying at the resort. Some of the mod/del have so many stops that, while you may get on the bus fast, you don't leave the resort quickly. I guess it all depends on timing!

Thanks everyone!

Hi Diamond_Girls. Yes, you can park at any of the park's or TTC's parking lot on the day you check out of the resort. One question. You said you were leaving right after breakfast at Chef Mickey's. So why don't you park at the Contemporary itself instead of dealing with the TTC parking lot? Unless of course I misunderstood and you do want to go to a park before you leave.

Duh! Because my brain is not fastened on right today! I was thinking that you had to park at the TTC for the hotel as well. Thanks for the help, I would have felt like a total idiot if I had done that.

Thanks!!

Don't worry, my brain isn't fastened on right a lot these days lol. You won't have any problem parking at the Contemporary since you are dining there. Just tell them as you're pulling in that you have a p.s. for Chef Mickey's. Sometimes they've asked us our name, sometimes not. You can valet park (which we've done when we're in a hurry) or park yourself. They have a time limit (I think 2 hours or so but plenty of time to not have to rush). Have a great vacation and if you have any other questions feel free to ask!

I've never had a problem with the buses...ever. I don't know why everyone has such issues with them. But yeah, sounds like the car is the best plan of action. Thanks.

Admiral Nelson -- We had never had a problem with the buses either until earlier this month!

No one has mentioned this, but I have had trouble with the TTC getting on the resort monorail in the mornings. I think they often don't stop the resort monorail at the TTC early in the am. So, I would definitely drive to the Contemp, then move the car to the TTC for the rest of the day.
Hopefully I am wrong and someone can correct me. It seems that they should stop at the TTC for monorail resort guest going to EPCOT, but maybe they only drop people off. I can't remember.
