Well today we go home! I am sad but also looking forward to seeing the kids! we were up eary enought to pack and bring our bags to the bell desk for 8:30am. I wanted to check out Port Orleans since we had never toured this resort. So we took a bus to guess where, Downtown Disney and switched to a PO bus. Got off at the French Quarter, I really liked this part of the hotel. the pool area is great for the kids and it is a pretty resort. We walked the path along the water to the riverside end. It was a long walk, but beautiful. I loved the look of The Mansions on the opposite side of the river. We toured the dock are and went over to the swimming hole. Still being refurbished, the slide wasn't working and the bridge was covered. Didn't like it as much as the FQ pool. We walked through the lobby and I went to the gift shop because I needed to buy one last thing! Overall I like the resort. Too spread out for my liking and with the kids it would be a long walk to the pool(main pool) if you were in certain buildings. for that reason I would stay FQ. I had considered Riverside once because some rooms sleep 5, but after seeing tha layout I wouldn't choose those locations. My kids would always want to go to the serpeant pool anyways. Got on the bus to go back to DD. We took the stop at Riverside at the lobby, the bus stopped at all the other depots before heading to DD. This in itself would make me nuts. I think the AS bus service is even better. Back to DD and onto our bus. We finally arrive at the Allsatr at 11:05 am. Rabbit was picking us up at 11 and was waiting. Luckily we had everythign ready. I ran into do one more Pressed penny and quarter. I had realized I didn't have enough to equally split them between the 3 kids, I am nuts!!.
To the airport, everything was on time and we arrived home by 6:30. It was hot , 28 degrees(celcius we're in Canada now eh!) they had nice weater all week. The kids were so excited. We made them wait awhile before we gave them the treats. Their fave! The pressed pennies and Big Dino from Chester and Hesters.
Hey guys lets start planning our next trip, me DH already had the park maps out deciding what he was going on first.
Great trip!
