Traveling to Edmonton to see our new nephew :goodvibes

Anything I should be prepared for Security wise?
Need to take my nasal spray with me, OTC www.sinusbuster.ca , will that be a problem?

Just trying to get packed, and baking cookies, cinnamon buns, lasagnas and casseroles done so the boys won't go hungry while mom's away!!

TIA!

It's best to check with your airline. Flying out of Edmonton to the US a month ago, we weren't allowed to take any liquids through Security at all, although this may be different for flying within Canada.

You can check out the Transport Canada website as well ...
http://www.tc.gc.ca/mediaroom/advisories/2006/06-ma032e.htm

We also were required to remove our shoes and place them in bins to be x-rayed (again, may be different for flying within Canada).

You may also want to pack some warm clothes - we've had snow and cold temperatures here for the past week or so, and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.

Have a safe trip!

As of 4:00 a.m. hours E.S.T. on Monday, November 6, 2006, air passengers will be permitted to bring liquids, gels and aerosols through security screening at Canadian airports provided that the items are packaged in containers with a capacity of 100 ml / 100 grams (3.4 oz.) or less – instead of the previously required 90 ml / 90 grams (3 oz.) or less – and that the containers fit comfortably in one clear, closed and resealable plastic bag with a capacity of no more than 1 litre (1 quart).

Thank you! :goodvibes

We just flew toronto to Moncton in October and they did thoroughly check everything and you can't take any open bottles of water or coffee or anything like that. If you have any liquid medication they ask you to put it in a plastic baggie they provide and it must be a prescription or you have to check it in ...one lady in check in was even asked to put her lipstick in her checked bags! They are pretty strict. Shoes off and everything.
No toothpaste or anything like that in your carry on,
Gosh last May the security going through Orlando was so Horriffic nothing seems bad anymore. I have never seen such bull crap like that...and we're going again in January. It took longer to get out of Orlando after our flight than our entire flight toronto to orlando!! not kidding

Okay...

A ziploc bag with measurements of 20.3cmx17.7cm (medium size, right?)

The large size ziploc freezer bag just looks too big as compared to the pic on the TC website.

I can't believe this is driving me this crazy

Good trial run for next month, though!! :teeth:
