Allergy Resturant Input Needed

Someone in my local allergy support group created a website for restaurant reviews for food allergies. Based on popular demand, he created a section for Disney. Since it's community based, he needs input from all of us to make it a great tool.

If you've had food allergy restaurant experience at Disney, it would be awesome for you to contribute. If not, maybe you can use this as a resource.

We won't be going until December 2012.

I will add that I talked with Disney special diets and I was pleased to find out that all table service restaurants will puree food for someone. For those with swallowing issues and such this is a great help.

We were sent by e-mail the same Disney allergy form that others get for true allergies. You need to fill the form out in advance of your trip and list all meal reservations on it. You then need to send it back to Disney before your trip once you have filled out all the required information on it.

My experience is brief and limited. We recently tried table service restaurants at WDW for the first time, and our first experience was at Yak & Yeti at AK. Food was wonderful; we had indicated beforehand that I had a minor food issue and were told to remind our server.

When we did the server immediately stopped taking our order and told us that a chef had to take down our orders and explain what could and could not be eaten. The chef came out quickly and explained in detail what could be served and what substitutions would need to be made with my chosen dishes. He also asked about our dessert choices to make sure there would be no other issues like cross-contamination.
