Allergies

Is anyone else's allergies exceptionally bad this season.I am soooo itchy and have had the worst headaches. My whole body is itchy, I would like to rip my skin off!

Yes, Pollen count is very high this year. You an check the pollen count in your area on weather.com

Sitting here with what I know must be another sinus headache and I've had runny eyes for weeks. Everything is COVERED in pollen.

It must be because I usually don't have any problems in the spring. It's been better the last few days but I got hit pretty hard 2-3 weeks ago and it lasted just about as long

I do have fall allergies (ragweed) though and I'm allergic to cats but have two. Go figure.

Me too. I have one cat but my in-laws have 4 cats, and when we visit them for the holidays, I'm typically doped up to the max, have my inhaler going 24/7, eye drops up the wazoo!

And the worst part, their cats know I'm allergic to them and love to come up to me. Sigh...

I'm not severly allergic to them but if I pet them and then rub my eyes, I will get a mild reaction. I try to wash my hands after petting them.

then Disney had the high pollen count.....then came home and the trees and bushes were blossoming......then more pollen.......yah I have had a continuous headache.....and sinuses.....and eyes itch and what else can I say........bad bad year......and for you with pets......they also can have allergies like we do.......so look at their eyes.....and if they are red.......call your vet......my dalmatian had eye drops for her allergies

YES! This year has been quite bad. We've all had recurrent colds for the past 6 weeks or so, and I think the allergies are partly to blame (making things worse). Can't wait for all this pollen to be done with!!

I've had this crap since I was a baby. Everyone told me they would get better as I got older....how old do I have to be I have tried every Rx out there with little to no relief. Here's the kicker...I tried Claritin when it first came out...worked PERFECTLY...loved it...no symptoms...went in the next year to get more...IT QUIT WORKING I build up a tolerance to all the meds

After DS & I both suffered for allergies for years, we finally saw an allergist. I am on Flonase only. DS (age 10) is on Flonase, Patinol (eye drops) & Allegra. It has made a world of difference for both of us.
My son was miserable for the last 2 Springs. He has had no problems since starting the meds a month ago. HIs quality of life has improved. He can now play outside for as long as he wishes. He is also able to focus on his school work because his eyes & nose aren't running. He was amazed to discover that he can breathe with his month closed.

Allergies are GREAT this year due to my handy dandy bottle of Zyrtec pills! Now, last year I was pregnant and couldn't take them and was VERY close to praying for death. My face was so swollen and I was miserable that DH wanted to take me to the ER.
