We will be visiting Disney at the end of July and will be spending two days at Universal...
Wondering if anyone out there has info on dining with food allergies - or maybe there is a thread dedicated to that?? We are used to Disney and they are amazing with their allergy policy. Just trying to do some research before our trip.

TIA!

There are threads about allergies
I have posted the contact info on them

Use the search to bring them up

I will try to link them to you

Not sure if I have the link for it in the quick access sticky

I do have nut allergies.
And i do agree that disney is very good at managing this.
As to Universal, i think that maybe more of their restaurants, especially those on City walk, are independently owned. So I do not assume that they know because I have a reservation and mentioned it when making the reservation and I will mention this to the server.
Ithink it's just like eating out at home-mention it just in case and be on the safe side.

I have emailed Guest Services a couple times about park food items; each time they responded within a couple hours. Not only did they let me know that the items were safe for my son to eat, they also emailed me a complete ingredient list. (Though they cannot give the ingredient list for Butterbeer. It's a big secret, but they will let you know what allergens it contains.)

All the other places, from QS to table restaurants, we let our server/cashier know about DS's allergens. They are always helpful & friendly. They either have a list they can pull out and check, call for a manager/cook/etc. We have had no issues at Universal.

BTW, DS has a dairy allergy, raw egg allergy, and we avoid nuts in his diet just in case.

Universal are just as amazing.

They will call you and speak to you if required when you let them know your issues. Email or call them, number and email contacts are on the website.

My friends kids have serious allergies and they have been wonderful with them. Called them back next day (they are in the UK) and went through all their options and what things to avoid.

I have allergies, not life threatening and they take them just as seriously. I was very impressed with everyone I spoke to about them.
